Great performing at this level and very harmonious right now. Some real grip in the tannins so thats expected, mixed with some great purity of cassis fruit, oak, spice, and it's all just coming together as something gorgeous and classic. Length is there. Very nice and reminds me yet again that there is great value beyond the big names in Bordeaux. It is effortlessly classy. Wish I had way more. No rush, but I would drink up in the next 1-5 years as I prefer some pronounced fruit mixing with the age. Hats off.

Decanted for 4 hours. A dark colour; initially, the palate is soft and rich, with concentrated blackcurrant fruit. After a while, some tannin starts to poke though and the wine closes up a little. Very good though.
Last drunk about 3 years ago and it has developed well since then, although more time would help.

Wish i had perused the tasting notes before opening this. The previous taster gets this spot on, the wine is currently fairly dense and impenetrable. Not that i still didn’t enjoy drinking it, but as i enjoyed the 2004 I expected big things from the 10. Hopefully time will work it’s magic , another 5 years probably.

Cedar, blackcurrant, green pepper nose. More blackcurrant with raspberry and dark chocolate to taste, and then a tannic and vegetal finish. A Boxing Day walk that starts pleasantly if predictably enough, before a detour through dense undergrowth means it turns into quite hard work. Give it a few years and that woodland will be much easier to broach.

A deep colour; slightly sweet, slightly smoky fruit, blackcurrant/blackberry, medium weight and length. Approachable now, but not yet fully integrated, and the alcohol is still rather prominent.

Big and concentrated with chewy chunky tannin. Lots going on in this. Great structure and balance with a lingering finish. Earth, cedar, green tobacco notes with gooseberry and red fruit. Good now will gain in time. Its all there. Drink 2025-2035.

A lightly intense nose, but quite some aroma's to be found. Cassis, blackberries, cedar, green paprika, black pepper and some caramel. On the palate: blackberries, cassis, green paprika, black pepper, cedar and at first also some leather (vanished after a while). A hint of vanilla in the retro and a long finish (11 caud)
Wine is still quite high in tannins and a little bit harsh at first. Got better after decanting.
Better to wait with this wine and try again in a few years.

Soft, sweet and quite full, plummy fruit, with a somewhat hot finish from the 14% alcohol. Unfortunately, as with many modern clarets, the excessive alcohol suppresses the natural claret character, which is a pity as this is otherwise a good wine. Attractive now, but will keep and probably improve.

Deep dense colour. A bit closed -dark forrest berries, toast, chocolate, and vanilla. Good body - balanced - soft tannins- great aftertaste. Impressive!

A very powerful wine, I must say! Dark red colour and a very strong nose. Taste had a fruity start but a very dry finish. I'd advise to wait drinking this wine for the moment. A good wine already, but perhaps not ready to drink just yet. I'll try again next year.

Bordeaux in Bordeaux (Pauillac): Quite toasty nose with good fruit. Didn't take full notes but both my wife and I picked this blind from a range of Cru Bourgeois and shows that touch of extra pedigree.

Medium bodied, light in style, focused on red plum and cranberry fruits, the wine is on the bright, fresh, crisp side. The nose is more interesting with its blackberry, earth and tobacco notes. Produced from a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc.

Fairly rich, ripe tannin, dark fruit, cedar and tobacco. For a property with little reputation this is a real success. ****.

Black fruit, a touch of spice, tannins softened after a couple of hours in the decanter. Moderate finish and complexity. Nice wine.

MW Institute 2010 Bordeaux Tasting (Sydney, Australia): Spice, herb and earth on the nose. Palate has gritty tannins and finishes a little short - a little more fruit here would really help I think.
