This is.a firecracker of a wine if you can find it. It’s surprisingly deep, lush, and beautifully oaked for the heft. I’m surprised of its richness and its muscular body and depth. Here we have a crossover wine with deep and earthy Bordeaux bones, filled with a satisfying, sweet menthol and roasting eucalyptus vibe. Deep and tannic, the coarse mouth coating finish was bullying the 2000 lichine that was fighting for attention right next to it. Sensational value! Drink or Hold and color me impressed.

Dark purple color. Bramble berry, graphite used leather and tobacco in the nose. Big soft tannic structure. Huge feel in the mouth with dark berry taste. Long finish. Drink 2022-2030

Quintessential Pessac characteristics: inky, dark (red) color; black currants, blackberry compote, a little cedar, oak on the nose. Flavorful and full bodied on the attack (black and red fruits, just enough tannins to remind you where you are), but hollows out a bit on the slightly metallic but still round finish. Leaves you with a nice pucker. Probably gets better with a little more age. Great with grilled NY Strip, asparagus and baked potato!

Odd to disagree with tasters I respect below. Either way, I found this complex and tasty, with not much obtrusive oak. However it was tannic and a little hot. Dense and compact and very black fruited. Espresso and chocolate. Very dry. This needs a couple years. 2010 is just like this.

Medium bodied, with a smoky, cherry pipe tobacco, earth and espresso nose. There is a softness to the texture, and a polish to the tannins, but there is still a bit too much oak for the fruit. Perhaps that will improve with a few more years of bottle age. The wine was made from a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot.

Ruby colored. Viscous. Quite muted, but aromas of leather and tobacco. Some sweet fruit and some bitterness. Oaky. Concentrated, but also extracted. Relatively accessible.

UCGB tasting Bordeaux 2010 (Brussels): Ripe dark fruits in the bouquet and luxurious oak. Same on the palate. The difference with most 2010 Bordeaux is that the wine is relatively round and supple. Good balance between sweetness and acidity and round, mild tannin.

Something on the nose I don’t like. Green grape stem? Mixed with red fruit.
Pallet is nice. Easy drinking. Nice tannins that linger. Red fruit, blackberry, amazing lingering tannins. Solid 90-91 points.

A few years too late, the fruit kinda fell apart. Beautiful dark jammy color with some promise.
