Medium straw color. Lavender and a bit of orange blossom on the nose. Fruity, predominantly pear and peach on the palate with maybe a touch of lychee. Suspect there is a fair amount of Riesling in this. A little sweet for me. If this is largely Riesling, there is a notable absence of the acidity necessary to offset the sweetness. It has been several years butI remember this being drier.

Anniversary dinner at Morgan's Harbor in Grand Cayman. Dark golden color, lots of Reisling-like acidity/sweetness interplay, and a clear hint of gasoline amid the sweet white fruits.

As usual, a go to bottle for weekday white. Pineapple & Granny Smith nose. Medium palate and tropical fruits, pineapple kiwi and green apple with some honeydew. Well balanced. Preferred the 2009 vintage, but I think this one is ready to drink now. More balanced after open for 45 minutes. Last glass was great.

Light golden color. Nose peppery. Initial tastes were a combination of tomato paste, pepper, and an oaky chardonnay. As time went on, it evolved into a Gwertztraminer-like taste but with some air/bubbly flavors like a wine flavored seltzer water. The peppery tastes lingered. Sweet in a muscadet-like way. Touch buttery and smooth. Actually held its' own against spicy chili and spicey Indian vegetable dishes but I wouldn't have pushed it more than that.

Nice easy to drink wine. Flavours of peach, nectarine and apricot were very noticeable. Wine was strong on tannins as it warmed up a little bit and flavour did not hold well in fridge after a couple of days (even with vacuum pump). Still a very accessible wine for most occasions.

From half bottle. Colour is amber. On the nose it is very tropical, floral, lychees, roses. Points to a bit of semiion and gewurtzraminer in the blend. Very aromatic nose. On the palate it is on the semi sweet side, supple and with good acidity but also on the one dimensional side too and low on the complexity front. Light bitter elements on the finish. Went well with our lobster although definitely a dinnerent wine that what we thought we ordered! 85. Good.

Not sure what to say about this wine....a funky/jazzy wine. I believe they throw in a little bit of everything in this. It doesn't suit me honestly. There is so much going on in this wine with competing flavors I find myself confused. It's well made, but it is multi-polared (made up word I think). Another great party wine when your wine crew is not invited. I think your average wine drinker would suck this down by the bucket & be very happy about it. gfwetzel's moscato call I just read makes a lot of sense to me. Nose of melon, tropical fruit, stone fruit, anise, honey, citrus, and grass. All of these notes are also on the mid-palate along with minerals, and lead to a long finish. A solid Summer time wine that paired very well with grilled chicken.

Clear, pale gold color with a pronounced nose of vanilla bean, honeysuckle and orange peel. The palate is ever so slightly off-dry as though a sugar cube was dropped into the bottle. The nose carries through to the palate along with peaches, apricots, and a bit of yeast, but lacking any minerality. Medium-minus acidity is a negative as there is a lack of balance between the parts. The body has medium weight and the finish is also medium. Medium yellow. P&P, 56degrees. Nose of honey, acacia, ripe apple/pear. On the attack surprised how sweet it is. Then the acid shows up along with a fizzy sensation (but I see no bubbles in the glass); this is followed b a hollow sensation. Finish is medium long and pleasant. Altogether a bit awkward, sort of top heavy or disjointed. Sort of a disappointment when I see the price (this was a gift!) - not much complexity. Many wines 30%- 50% cheaper are much better. ACTUALLY as the night wore on I liked this less and eventually tossed the second half of the bottle. Insipid comes to mind.

Nice nose. Had a bottle in 2007 and it was amazing! 2010 was much different. Not as acidic or light as the previous bottle, this wine was so heavy for a white that it was hard to actually pick out flavours... wasn't a fan and won't buy again. Did drink better the next day, though... mellows a bit and softens a tad on the palette. 73 on day one... 77 on day two.

Had an earlier Conundrum, which was crisp and refreshing. My wife and I were both disappointed in this bottle as it was undistinguished, with a weak and too sweet honey nose and flavor with a weak, lightly bitter finish. My prior experience was of a wine which was both more distinct and much lighter, and a good selection when entertaining for a group with varied white wine preferences. If this happens again, I won't buy this wine again.

I was looking for a richer bouquet and felt the nose in general was a little flat. This was too sweet upfront for me which made the favors hard to discern. The finish was toasted almonds and lemon curd which was very pleasant. Fuller bodied and held up nicely next to salmon. Would probably not buy again.

Delicate nose of lilac, orange blossom, and lavender. There is also starfruit, passion fruit, hints of pineapple and other sweet white fruit.
Surprisingly sweet, but with just enough acidity to make this an excellent wine with oriental food (or simply to sip on). Pineapple, mango, and guava, as well as a little orange and lemongrass, especially on the finish. Finishes a little short, and is a little weak on the mid-palate.
A very solid white wine, though I wouldn't call it exceptional.

Fruity aromatic nose. Taste of pears and light citrus to start. A taste of straw/hay leads to a sweet fruity finish. A little too sweet with food but not too bad of a sipper on warm summer evenings or for folks who do not enjoy other whites

Much fruitier, much more sugary, and lacking any depth whatsoever, I opened up a bottle of the Conundrum for a pre-dinner glass. It may have ruined my palate. It has no backbone, is simply fermented juice, and the remaining bottles (sadly) I own will be served to unknowing subjects...or people that just don't deserve better. ;-)

Either this bottle was flawed or the winemaker has become even more complacent. In the bast this was an interesting white blend that went well with food. This time the wine was very unpleasant - certainly not "corked" (or even "screwcapped") but just not very good.

I am not sure why I would ever buy this again...harsh, disjointed, and not pleasing at all. Wine is clear, has a good nose, and that is about all that is positive. Drank without food. I see that I rated it higher when served with cheese.

VegasOenophile hit the flavors right on the nose. From my perspective, this was pretty much a one-note wine with not a lot going on. For $20, I think there are better values out there for a crisp, early drinking, refreshing white. Coppola Sav Blanc comes to mind for $11 less, although it won't have the weight of this blend.

This was not as sweet as I remember and was more enjoyable as a result. I think the last time I tried this wine it was the 09 vintage and the was too sweet for me. This showed lots of floral notes, some tropical fruit and citrus, good acidity and a faint sweetness. Ann liked it

Always an easy drink and capable to go with such a variety of foods. Better than the '09 as previously mentioned. Don't know if it's worth the $17.99 pricetag though. Seems I can find other chards and sauv blancs I like for a few bucks less.

A gift. Interesting and for me somewhat difficult to describe blend. The SB and Chard were both there, but this seemed too fruity/sweet, perhaps the MC showing thru? Unlike others I found this lacking in a crisp acid balance to pair well with any foods I tried it with. It was best as a sipper, but seemed a bit heavy for even that. While I enjoy whites, I prefer reds; not a bottle I'd purchase for myself.

(Slow lunch with Dale, Dina and Werns at Red Star) Straw coloured, what an incredibly fresh and crisp white this is - with a sweet (ethylene glycol) nose strongly reminiscent of verdelho and gerwurtztraminer: tropical fruits (passion fruit, mango), nectarines, honey, pineapples, rose and lychees. Clean and crisp on the taste, there is a healthy wet-gravel minerality for texture and a pleasant metallic edge in the aftertaste. Easy pairing with cantonese dimsum, and possibly an amazing pairing with spicy thai stir-fry!

Stocking Stuffers (Farpointe Cellar): Beeswax and tropical fruit on the nose, with some pear and apple in the middle, and some floral notes at the end. Honey and pear on the palate, with spicy floral notes on the mid-palate, and a little tropical fruit on the finish.

Nice in absolute terms, but dissapointing relative to recent vintages of Conundrum. Not as much nose as recent vintages. Seems thinner on the palate but with more residual sugar than recent vintages. Overall less nuance and complexity than usual. I'll do a vertical tasting of the last three vintages sometime soon to confirm these initial impressions.

Gibby's California Tasting (Gibby's Wine Den, Geneva, IL): Deep yellow color with aromas of florals, gooseberry, lychee, rose petals and tropical fruit. Flavors of spice, lychee and tropical fruit with a touch of rs in the finish. More fruity than sweet. $20.95.

Quite buttery for a blend, but I like the oak, so it worked for me. Much better than the 2009. Also aromas of citrus and toast. Grapefruit on the palate, some floral. I didn't think of the wine as sweet by itself, but when paired with orange roughy and sweet potatoes the wine did seem sweet, but the butter of the wine bridged well with the fat in the fish. The finish was of moderate length and not complex.

Not bad. Fruity, yes, but not overly rich or sweet. Liked it more than I thought I would. Pretend its a dry Riesling and you may enjoy it more.
