From mag. Light gold colour. Very fresh nose with lots of extract. Great palate intensity. Classic PM spice but quite a bit of reduction - 2 parts reduction to 1 part mustiness!

Gareth's Magnum Dinner, part 2 (Noize): Magnum. I haven't awarded this a score as it seemed somehow faulty (although others at the dinner disagreed; they obviously got the better part of the bottle!). 3 parts reduction, 2 parts mustiness and 1 part wine for the first hour or so, with a very stripped finish, although the final couple of sips (I deliberately kept some in my glass) were better and gave me some beurre noisette and popcorn notes.

Zambuni Jadotfest 2018 (La Trompette, London): Magnum. Pale gold. Mineral, a touch of florality. More lithe and elegantly fruited but without the gravitas of the GCs. Very pretty indeed. ****

Lost and found. Deep yellow. Aromas of citrus and apple and clove with well integrated oak. Nice acidity and lift with a long smoky finish. Delicious mature Puligny.

(Mostly) Burgundy Dinner with Friends (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Another bottle was clearly on the tired side, even if nearly drinkable.

(Mostly) Burgundy Dinner with Friends (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Lots of baked apple and butterscotch with good richness, all while fresh enough. Great for its age.

Lights out and damn impressive with rich, complex and fresh fruit. The rare 20+ year old white burg of this era that delivers in spades.

Jadot Bonnes Mares and Gevrey CSJ 96/97/02/03 + (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Served double blind, obviously old-ish white Burgundy, I thought this approx 2005 or 2006 (ripe vintage) with just enough lingering acidity and brightness.
