PNP. Light yellow. Lemon, pineapple and some nose tickling spice. Broad palate deep and fairly wide with a lively texture and wonderful balance between the fruit and acid. Citrus rind finish. In a great spot tonight
Revisiting the last half after a few days in the refrigerator sealed and vacu vin. Comparing to the 2013 Roulot BB. The nose is more tropical than citrus and spice. Palate is richer and a bit flat and rounder than the 13, less lively but still holding up extremely well. (288 views)

Popped and poured. Citrus, white flowers and a slightly tropical fruit note on the nose. Palate is lean and crisp, strong acidity and very lively. Really great for the appellation, finishes with a hint of spice and some juicy citrus elements.

Popped and poured.Sulphur and mineral infused nose, some flint and lemon. Crisp palate, very acidic and still showing very young. Sharp texture and a drying finish, this is really lean and lovely at 10 years of age. No hurry to drink up.

If there is a better Bourgogne Blanc, please tell me. Nose absolutely dripping with lemon and crushed stone; amazing minerality. Noble reduction is minimal now, and this nose is so intense, and yet simultaneously subtle. On the palate, lovely density, stunning acidity, more pure lemon and wet stone. Perfectly mature and just stunning.

Weekly tasting group RWP #334; Burgundy 2010 (@ VD): In the bouquet chalky minerals, butter, straw and flint stone. On the palate green apples, citrus, peach, minerals, good acidity and bitterness. Luxurious and subtle wine with some toast and a great length. Beautiful wine.

God, that nose. Fantastic nose, just dripping with minerality, smoke, soft honeysuckle and sweet citrus. On the palate, very bright vibrant acidity with loads of stone and sweet lemon. Mineral finish with some tang and some peppet. I had a stunning '13 Roulot BB recently, but the acidity in the '10 is even more intense by comparison...an excellent bottle of wine.

Great nose, showing citrusy flint and reduction that blew off after an hour. Good palate, very lean, acidic, crisp and moderately complex on the palate, but it lacked depth. Showing very well and appears to be aging very slowly. Outstanding for a Bourgogne Blanc.

Still drinking really well. Had only modest memories of the last bottle but this one was seriously spot on. As some of said - almost Coche-like - a bit reductive, flint, matchstone - but just nicely balanced overall. Not too complex - just simple and well-made. Thank you @luchets007.

Pure and very fresh nose of lemon lime citrus and white rubber. Laser precise on the palate with nice citrus fruits, melons, some minerals, and just a hint of salinity in the background. Only traces of sulphur and match stick. Obviously not at the level of the Roulot crus, but for a $40 Bourgogne, a pretty great bottle.

Opens up a bit shy and needs some air to open up. Citrus, lime infused minerality with a touch of smoke. With 2 hours of air it really smoothes out and becomes outrageously good for a simpel bourgogne blanc.

Clear. Greenish yellow. Clean nose, youthfull. Medium intensity on the nose, a refined style. Aromas of apples, orchard fruits and a clear sense of minerality. Very lively and vibrant. The palate is (as expected) very sleek and energetic, lots of acidity, but with some years of development the fruit has become more apparant and the body a bit more present, so that the balance is in order. Oh yes.... I like this. Obviously on a lower level than his meursault village wines but very good for what it is. Very smooth and balanced. White flowers. Didn't detect any reduction or sulphur. Must buy more of his Bourgogne Blanc especially in good vintages. I think it will hold for 4-5 years but it's very tasty now.

Bit of toast on the nose, though I don't notice much oak on the palate; maybe it's the vintage, more likely the producer, but this drinks as well as many village lieu-dit, even Premier Cru wines from other producers. Nice intensity, medium depth, good acidity, moderate finish, terrific mid-week wine.

Punches well above its weight class, with quite nice, reserved stone fruit, medium intensity, a touch on the lean end of the spectrum, but that just helps to reveal some nice minerality and a nice dose of lemon/lime acidity, very crisp and clean, with much more depth and complexity than would be expected of a lowly Bourgogne.

Really digging this wine. Full, aromatic nose of lemon-lime, mineral and slate. Palate is chock full of energy and verge. There is terrific tension on entry and the palate expands in the mouth. Green apple fruit at core with more mineral on the mid-palate and finish. Long mouth watering finish. This is great stuff, especially for a Bourgogne - wow.

Plenty of minerally stone fruit, excellent acidity with a twist of lime. Glad to have more of this. Fights way above its weight, and a good value for its price point. We were lucky enough to sample this in the cellar back in late 2011, as the first wine of the full lineup. When I tasted this back then I knew we were in store for one heck of a ride.

Very nice, well behaved, Bourgogne, with citrus, white flowers and a touch of oak spice, but nothing too agressive. Still a bit tightly coiled, but I doubt I will have the patience to let these age. On the second day, this unwound a bit and became a bit more enjoyable.

Very good. Juicy acidity, minerality, light savouriness, good nose and some mushroom-truffle notes from the light touch of oak treatment. The qualities of a good 1er cru burg are all there. Just at a lower intensity. Truly an over-achieving bourgogne blanc. Superb!

A good showing, with crisp apple, pear, lemons and flint. Lovely acids but a bit compact on the palate. At first this was served too cold, and really needed to warm up a bit to show itself. No creaminess of oak this time around. I would opt to cellar a bit as I see some upside to this wine.

Bo ssam and vino with a visiting John Tomasso. (Christine & Marty's.): Quite a lovely Bourgogne blanc, actually. Solid B+.

This seems tight to me, particularly on the nose. I think it needs another year or so of age. With some air and decent amounts of swirling, the nose showed jasmine, apricot, and hints of green apple on the nose and palate. Medium bodied, with a touch of citrus showing on the medium length finish.

Present tree fruit aromas. Mint or herbage. Chocolate mint and like a 20% new barrel appeal. Bright and high toned on the palate. Finest clove powder. More ethereal now than ever. Lots of flinty minerality, but aromas still in a high toned oak kind-a-way.

This shows quite a bit of potential, but it's really tightly coiled up right now. Not much on the nose (admittedly, this was a pop and pour scenario). The palate is sharp and precise, with lime squirt acidity. Flint, green apple and citrus. The oak is evident, adding a slight creaminess, but not splintery. This reverberated on the palate, yet this still felt a bit compact, wanting to show more. This needs time to unwind.

We tasted this bottle with some delicious sushi’s! White Dutch roses, lemon and citrus on the nose. In the mouth medium complexity with nice forward acidity, green apples and peach, very elegant, fresh and precise. The lingering finish is quite concentrated with some beautiful minerals.

Electric stuff, pure excitment, not much on the nose but so much life on the palate. A real bite, crisp granny smith and citrus, smoke underneath. Very good.
So much better than the 2009! Or, at least, the 2009 must have been picked very very early. There, very mineral and lean. Here, much more substance. Not "fruit" per se, just m ore concentration, power and structure. A great vintage. Needs more time to show itself but it is lovely to drink now!

Thanksgiving Week Wines; 11/22/2012-11/25/2012 (Edison, NJ): Realized I'm a big fan of this. The nose was somewhat shy with some melon, fresh herbs, and lemon. Clean, bright, pure and fresh. This has some white flowers, white peach, lemon and minerals on the nose. In the mouth it is crisp and rocky, not particularly deep but beautifully proportioned and quite flinty on the finish.

Twice recently, guys whose palates I trust have recommended this wine. Perhaps my palate is more oak-averse than their (which would surprise me), but I find this wine to be much too oaky right now. There is huge blast of vanilla right after uncorking. Air tempers that vanilla, and the effusive, bulky palate mellows and gains better poise, but the sour oak is overt on the palate all along. I think this has impressive raw materials, but I wouldn't drink this for a year or two. The oak needs to absorb. There is good precedent for this wine; the 2008, also an oaky wine, is quite delicious right now.

This seems tight to me, particularly on the nose. I think it needs another year or so of age. With some air and decent amounts of swirling, the nose showed jasmine, apricot, and hints of green apple on the nose and palate. Medium bodied, with a touch of citrus showing on the medium length finish.

Another yummy bottle. A bit more flabby than some of the other bottles I had...but still a "yum" in my book.

Not much to add really. Great bottle of Chardonnay.

Pretty much the same as my previous bottle. Probably a hint more flinty and oaky on the nose, but overall this has great balance and a wonderful freshness to the palate.

Nice richness but very well balanced with acidity. Too young, but would love to revisit in 5-10 years.

Pretty darn delicious stuff. Much better than the 2009 to me at this stage.

Even better than the first one. My oh my, this is a terrific reasonably priced (considering the producer) white burg.

Thanksgiving Week Wines; 11/22/2012-11/25/2012 (Edison, NJ): Realized I'm a big fan of this. The nose was somewhat shy with some melon, fresh herbs, and lemon. Had a real sense of coolness on the palate with a mineral-driven spine, good dense lemon, pear and lime flavors and a nice flintiness on the finish. Great value.
