Honey on the nose, almost expect a sweet wine when you smell it. High acid, slightly out of balance, toasted honey comb well into the finish, a hint of citrus and soft subtle tannin.

This was the 3rd bottle from the same producer on the dinner table, and what a delight it was. Such a clarity and transparency of fruit and juice on the one side and complexity on the other. Balanced, pure pleasure for drinking now.

Clear blue-green hue to it. Very clean and clear looking, though the light doesn't dance around the way it does for some other 1er cru's and grand cru's. Nose and palate are fairly similar, grapefruit, flint, wet stone. Some herbal warmth coming from the oak which reminds me a bit of a pinot blanc. Clean, Lengthy finish. Pretty good considering the price.

Nose of pear and honey sandwiches. Palate is dominated by green apple, with some stony minerality. Thankfully, this wine is not oaky. The body is a little thin. Acidity is just right, given the thin body.
The finish is of moderate length and is dominated by flavors of buttered popcorn and green apple, and a little ash.
Edited to add: with air, this gains some citrus (lemon and tangerine) flavor notes.
Overall, not bad, but could benefit from more concentration.

Just a little over a month after popping the cork on the first bottle, I gravitated to this one more on price point and flavor than anything else. I counted on the body holding up well to homemade chicken pot pie. It did not disappoint. Nothing different in the flavor from a month ago when I mentioned, “The nose is all apple, lemon cream, fresh cream, almond and anise. The flavor profile precisely tracks the nose.” 13% alc. With chicken pot pie and biscuits; a pleasant pairing. Recommended.

Because this wine is from the negociant and not from the domaine, I almost did not purchase it. The wine guy at the wine store insisted, “Trust me on this. I serve it in my own house.” Single vineyard white Burgs for under $20? How good could it be? Yet, I had to pull the trigger. And for the price point ($17), I have to say, it isn’t bad at all. In fact I’m glad I made a multiple bottle purchase. The nose is all apple, lemon cream, fresh cream, almond and anise. The flavor profile precisely tracks the nose. The color is sunlight gold. What’s not to like. Yes, it lack layered depth; and yes, the mid-palate and finish could and should be longer, but then, I didn’t spend $50 ... or $150 on this bottle. 13% alc. With seared scallops in a mustard sauce. Recommended.

Nice white burgundy. Crisp, tart with plenty of citrus, lemon, some spice and a nice bit of acidity. There is a slight bit of a metallic edge but all in all a good chard for the price.

Crisp, with notes of citrus, crushed stone and loads of earthy minerals. There is a nice rich creamy texture supported by bright acidity. (Drink 2012-2016)

When I first opened this wine on Sunday afternoon, it was quite disjointed and the nose had a slightly off-putting bit of funk. Angular on the palate, lots of acidity. Drank half the bottle with my wife and made the mutual decision to gas it, cork it, and try it another day. Didn't get back to it until three days later. Not expecting much, just wanted to give it a try and see if it had anything left. Wow, what a difference! It was not oxidized at all, instead it had come together quite nicely and rounded out. Not spectacular, but clean, crisp, balanced. I'm inclined to give this another try since the price is quite easy on the wallet.

Tastes of grapefruit, which isn't my favorite, but otherwise, a good example of a white Burgandy. Good value for the price.
