This wine surprised me. I'd never tasted it previously -- in fact, i avoided it, thinking that as a fairly mass market wine it must be manufactured, cloying, annoying. In fact, though, this bottle is delightful. Still very fresh but with some golden hue and minerality from the years. Nose and flavors of wet rock, flint, lemon, and a touch of honeysuckle. Pure and lean with zesty acidity still. Perfect hanging here on my porch on another beautiful Stanford evening. I almost gave it 91.

A pale straw yellow color. Clean, crisp fragrance with intense yet elegant hints of quince, green apples, and refreshing citrus fruits. The palette has fresh, harmonious fruit set off by slight sweetness with a long finish full of delicate, tangy flavor.

Very pale yellow, with decent legs. Melon and grapefruit in the nose. Fairly rich in the mouth, surprisingly so considering the grape. This has nice layers of melon fruit, not too tart, even a tad creamy. Stands out from the crowd in this varietal. Only my second taste of this wine. I see now why it is so popular. 4-12-15-8: 89/100.

Although from a large producer, this is not an ordinary anonymous pinot grigio, have a good weight and structure, and nice levels of fruits and acidity, enjoyed it.

Lemon, melon rinds on the nose and palate. Lighter style, medium acidity and short finish, simple, relatively pleasant, but has some bitter/green elements in it. It does not taste anything like a $20 wine, maybe it is just a bad vintage or a great marketing.

Artificially full with a crisp edge that becomes dull in mere seconds. Easily in the top 10 of over-priced, over-hyped, over-stocked wines in the US. An ester thing going on that was wholly distracting and off-putting. I was one of the few at the dinner table that found it better with food than on its own. Sigh. Drink now, not getting any better. Poor QPR.

Tart green apple aromas with a nice acidity, but with nice notes of stone fruit and overall fairly well balanced.

This is a consistently great tasting white wine. Super with lighter white fish.

Caribbean Cruise - Flights and Bottles; 3/23/2013-3/30/2013 (Caribbean): Light green in color, with a strong floral and fruity/apple nose. Well balanced, with a dry finish.

Limpid straw; light and crisp with faint flavors of lemon blossom, pear, stonefruit, melon, and honeysuckle; decent but absurdly overpriced.

Crisp, tangy, some banana notes. Fully expressive on the palate, citrus acidic finish. Pleasing but too pricey for this offering.
