Popped and poured at an art reception for my mother. Okay red, a bit tannic and overly mature. Can't recall much from two weeks ago. I wouldn't hold onto it any longer. Drink up.

Deep crimson to ruby in the glass. Aromas of dark and dark red fruits, smoke, herbs, and a hint of lavender. Medium body, acid and finish, with flavors of dark red fruits, herbs, and tobacco. A little thin in the middle, but pretty solid effort and enjoyable with a grilled flank steak and chimichurri. Good with food, but afterward I was noticing the tannins sticking to my teeth a bit, so I may grab another bottle to sit on for a year or two and see if some more complexity comes out, but not something I want to go long on.

This wine had been opened for a few days when I tried it. It was still potable. Nothing particularly outstanding about it. Will write another note when I try one of the unopened ones.

Good every day drinking wine though lacks structure and tannins so it gets a little monotonous with all the rich fruit. Kind of wine you can enjoy with a hearty meal or would be a good party wine. I am not sure what this costs as it was a gift but I wouldn't pay more than twenty bucks for this at retail.

Tasty wine. Worked very well with a simple pot roast. Clean, fresh, heavy fruit with a nice mineral balance. Clean finish.
