Surprisingly still good. Found one last bottle in a rack reorg. In the nose, strawberry and old, wet leather. Dark in the glass, tinge of brown. First taste, what's left of the anise, bitter cherry, and Alexander valley dust - in a good way! Kind of an old world taste, but decidely thin on the details. Still, very enjoyable for the Filet and quite strong against most of the Cali competitors.

Probably waited a bit toooo long. Hidden away in the cellar. Color was nice, very deep and garnet like. The legs are fast but there was virtually no nose, and no discernable body. Slight tannin's but definitely past its prime, if there was one.

Tasted on day three after opening and there's not much left. Musty, skunky nose with limited fresh fruit aroma, hot alcohol on the mid-palate but still an attractive black currant finish.

Not as disappointing as the other reviews, although this winery seems to have fallen into a "funk", and they are producing an inferior water-down product compared to what I have tasted in the past. It's only an 80's score on what should be better from a winery in Healdsburg, which has consistently produced superior cabernet products. I really don't know how to account for the decline in this property, when in the past they have been so superior in their red wine production. I'm in a quandary as to what to assume . ????

Better than the first bottle. Little more character with plum, blackberry, and touch of spice on the palate. Spiciness on the moderate finish. Still not a cab I would keep in my cellar. Many others out there with better body and style.

Dark inky core with purple crimson hue, showing aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, plum and spicy oak. On palate it is rather subtle, sweet fruits entry along with dark cherry, plum, blackcurrant with hints of toasted oak. This is young, fruits driven but drinking well now unlike its bigger brother Landslide. Soft tannins with a pretty good length. Overall very good QPR. Give it some times to open up.

Good color. Little smoky, black cassis with complex black berries that leave you wanting for beef. Great aftertaste. After it opens, the wine has hints of plum but not overwhelming.

Nice nose. Fairly strong alcohol smell. Nice Deep color. Fairly straightforward wine. Not overly complex. Stands up very well to strong tasting foods. Pairs well with Parmesan cheese. Definitely a good every day drinking wine.

Light does not pass through this wine as it is a densely hued color of garnet and violet. Smells are currant, earth, dark chocolate, strawberry, and bell pepper. The tastes are currant, cedar, blackberry, licorice, and dark chocolate. The tannins testify to the current youth of the wine and are furry and dry. This new world wine seems to have some old world character. The finish seems to quickly give way to astringent tannins.

Not sure how this wine is averaging an 88? It's ok, but very thin for a Cab. almost drinks like a Pinot Noir. Smooth but no real depth. Wouldn't buy it but since it was a gift...no harm no foul.

Post-Metropolitan Museum Women of the Nile Event Dinner at the Afghan Kebab House (Afghan Kebab House, NYC, East Side): Another tasty wine at dinner and before the food was served.
The wine was dark with good fruit flavors, some chocolate, oak and substantial tannins on the finish.
It drank nicely today but will drink even better with another year of bottle age.
