Amazing. Called this blind. So much energy and complexity. Has shedded most of the reductive hallmarks of the domaine. Citrus profile. Could have benefitted from another 30 mins of air. But so impressive.

We had four good bottles of this (and one showing some oxidation). The good bottles were really singing and went very well with the food as it is broadly built for a PYCM wine with its quite ripe fruit and some buttery notes. Still with a nice tension from its lemon flavours and mineral spine. Everybody liked it a lot. It is probably at or close to peak now.

Compared to the glorious 2011 PYCM Merusault Perrieres, the Charmes is less flinty and vibrant, yet showing more ripeness. Plenty of ripe yellow fruit, butter and lemon oil on the palate. A flavourful Meursault but just missing all those signature goodies you crave with PYCM. And the wine is a bit one-dimensional.

Decanted for almost 3-hrs, this didn't show the usual struck-matchstick nose (of a young PYCM wine), but just a bit of flint, with lemons/citrus and white flowers scents that grew stronger with time in the glass. Intense (fruit-weight), yet clean/fresh/mineral, this was extremely inviting & delicious. Nice, and will likely improve with more age.

rating is for the pnp, where this had great acidity, mouthwatering, but nice touch of sweetness to make this like lemonade light... really great tension, with significant minerality in the back seat to the citrus fruit... great, not at great the next day where the acidity was dominant... love this wine though -- should have had the whole bottle on night one

Reductive at first, with a nose full of matchsticks, flint. Quite tightly coiled on the palate too. With time, a familiar nose of yellow fruits, seashells, sea-breeze emerged. Nice palate of more yellow fruits, balanced with a good dose of minerality also developed. Started to clamp up again after extended time/aeration in the glass... Can’t wait to taste this again with more cellar age...

Comte Lafon 1ers (La Trompette, London): Palest straw. Classic PYCM nose with an extra layer of butter. Nicely fresh and mineral. Textbook texture. Quite taut and elegant. Very fine. ****

That now familiar creamy nose, coupled with sea breeze & citrus. Again, familiar savory "PYCM-palate" of a tinge of saltiness with lemons, tropical fruits and a very generous sprinkle of minerality. Nice, and will be very interesting to see how this develops...

Bright straw yellow, very youthful appearance. Aromatic nose with salty caramel, coconut, nougat, citrus, subtle oak and hints of mineral. Good intensity with sweet and savory palate, along with nice ripe fruits, peach, pear and pineapple. Medium bodied with nice balance and fresh lively acidity. Powerful finish with hints of oak and saltiness. I like the power and structure of the Meursault and this is very good, combine the power and elegance.

My 3rd-time having this, with quite similar impression. An "elegant" Meursault, with nose of cream, citrus. Palate-staining intensity and length. Only snag this time was that the acidity felt a bit high, affecting the overall balance. Can't wait to taste this again with more age in-bottle.

very nice, citrus palate, decent acid, slightly more rounded at this point than i would have expected given the vintage, very nice drinker and would be loved by the crowd, didn't feel like a long term ager

Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015 (Jade Palace): We had this after a few (very good) reds, and it still managed to stamp its class. While the Vadot seemed "rounder", this was more focused and elegant, with that same "creamy" note/texture. The extract/minerality was even more amazing than the Vadot... palate staining, in fact... with a slight tinge of salinity. There's definitely still room for improvement on the integration part. Should be much better with age in bottle as the wine becomes even more integrated...

Raid Len's Cellar #1: Gunsmoke, flint, lemon - very characteristic of the house. Pure, lean and focused fruit with excellent minerality. Very good length.

At this early stage it's quite linear and direct. Rather severe, more like a Puligny-Montrachet than a Meursault. White grapefruit, lemon pith, steel. It opens a little with air. Lest this seem too negative, I liked it more and more as the evening went on.

My first PYCM and I see what all the fuss is about. Simply brilliant classic Meursault. Very open, although obviously young. Steely but fruity in a lychee and pear way. Impeccable balance.

Serious pear and citrus, matchstick and flint on the nose. The palate is round, and narrowly focused. Somewhat tart finish. Excellent and this will round out with more time.
