Opened this bottle at a wine dinner at New Ubin Seafood (CHIJMES). Theme of the evening: Vintage Australian (Wendouree) Wines. Drank from a half bottle.
Straw gold in colour with a sharp, crisp lemon, lime and honey on the nose and palate. Drinking beautifully at this stage.

This botrytis-affected Riesling has a lovely mature, waxy, candied lemon citrus, orange, and honeysuckle nose. It’s medium-bodied on the palate with delicate acids that are still quite refreshing. Deliciously sweet with lovely aroma replays on the flavour profile, along with a juicy mid-palate. Excellent length with waxy, orange, and honeysuckle notes on the finish.

Whilst elements of the nose remind of a Mosel Spatlese/Auslese, there is initially some reduction that make for a more savoury profile. 15-20 mins later this has mostly but not completely blown off.
Quite viscous and apricotty on the palate but vibrant grapefruity acidity cuts easily through it. Great length and no little complexity to the finish.
I'd take a punt that this could well age and improve for quite a while yet

Sweet wine tasting (Le Petit Sommelier): Clear pale yellow color. The nose is clean, showing med/med+ intensity, fresh ripe pear and apricot, lime flesh and juice, orange and nutmeg, hints of pastry, developing. The wine is sweet, med+ body, med/med+ intensity, med+ acidity and medium alcohol (12%), tin pineapple, pear syrup, light honey notes, felt that it lacked complexity, med/med+ finish. Very good wine that will never let you down, drinking well now, I wouldn't keep it more.

Moderately sweet with honeysuckle and sugar cane notes. Acidity is there to balance out the sweetness though not as vibrant as the German Riesling. Pretty good length of finish. 12% ABV with Stelvin enclosure.

Expressive nose botrytised nose with Riesling fruit, still young but very enjoyable. Very much like German Auslese with more weight and less crisp acidity.

Kevin Judd masterclass (WSPC): 120gr sugar, botrytis. Thick golden green color. Restricted petrol nose with hints of sweetness, agave honey and glue. Clear fruity taste with a nice balance but could use more concentration. Short to medium aftertaste of vanilla and spices.

A wine that demonstrates the essence of finesse. Expressive and botrytized nose showing mushrooms together with floral aromas over stone and citrus fruit. Some spicy notes give extra points. Sweet and elegant on palate with orange marmelade and creme bruleee. Well balanced with bright acidity, delicate alcohol, impressive concentration and rather long finish. Could keep for a decade, possibly more.

Viscous, honeyed with fresh acidic backbone. Not cloying though nothing particularly standout. I was probably looking for more because of the name?
Can't help feeling like this isn't the best representation of Greywacke - expensive.

Greywacke event with Kevin Judd and the New Plymouth Wine Tasting Club (New Plymouth Hotel): Dense and thick but not heavy. Could use a lot of bottle age. Long smoky finish, meaty and savory with good texture. I found this a little short on acid.
