Aroma of cherry and gasoline. Soft tannins and medium body. As it is an inexpensive wine that is not meant to be aged it is past its fruit forward days. Flavors of cherry and black fruity with a short finish. Easy drinking and simple wine for simple days in the middle of the week watching the news. Drink now if you haven't already.
2/14 - Update - very hit/miss - had 2 bottles in the interim. 1 good and hte other so so. not much length or fruit in one.

Drank a few bottles with dinner at sweet Lucy Lynn's with dinner. Everyone at the table liked. Did not take notes during dinner, but remembered simple wine with cherry and nice balance.

Another great Cabernet that comes from Alexander Valley. It was balanced, with a solid medium finish. Josh easily demonstrates that you don't have to go to Napa Valley for that trendy and ever-evolving California high octane, fruit bomb. Great job Alexander Valley!

Just okay. Good color, faint nose, lots of fruit over soft tannins, short finish with a bit of heat. Like a lot less expensive Cabs, this doesn't show a lot of varietal character or complexity. It is sort of your generic red wine, drinkable, but not memorable or distinguished in any way. It is a cut above very bottom-level wines, but whether it's worth $12 or $13 a bottle is debatable. Should be drank now; it isn't made for keeping.

Astringent, with mild flavors of black currant and plum. Like any other $12 North Coast cab I've had, this is simple and inoffensive with a so-so mouthfeel.

Consistent quality (about 2 cases in almost 2 yrs), this wine is accesible and compliments any social setting...distinct without being presumptive, friendly and fruity (though not a "bomb").
Highly recomend with your daily bread!

Fair. Dark purple. I didn't get much classic Cab from this. It was kinda grape-y and tasted more like an inexpensive mass produced wine than the "garage" wine it purports to be on the label. I was disappointed and will not buy again. <Wow/Very Good/Good/Fair/Plonk>

I really enjoyed this bottle. The color was quite pale and transparent. The nose was full of vanilla and dark fruit; the nose held up over an hour or so. So many wines have a great nose for the first 20 minutes, then nothing, but the Josh kept going. The pale appearance was deceiving - lots of black fruit, well balanced, and a decent finish. For a sub-$15 bottle this is good stuff; I'll certainly buy more.

Quite enjoyable. Not a classic cab profile, but really liked this. Paid around $15, which might be a bit much (I would pay up and get the Beringer Knights Valley Cab instead) , but I found more for $11 which puts into the everyday drinker category. This is a fun, easy drinking wine with a rounded flavor profile, almost as if they had blended some merlot in (note: checked their website and the 2009 was 100% cab, so this may well be also). Well balanced from front to back, showing lush dark fruit, with a pleasant medium finish. I think is would be liked by a wide range of people and if you can find it for a good price, it's very party friendly.

Dark with thin, purple rim; nose of blackcurrant, boxwood, roasted dark fruit, prune, mint; this seems overripe with stems to add some structure; same flavors continue onto the palate.

solid wine at the price. Anything more than 18 dollars my wife thinks is too much for a table wine with dinner, this fits the bill. Lacks a little structure and definitely some earth tones to it.

It was a little too old by about a year, fruit diminished after about a half hour and after an hour it was gone. But it was good while it lasted.
