Red fruits and spice on the nose and the palate. Bright, juicy fruits, wrapped in a medium- bodied package. Well balanced with good acidity and a clipped finish. Drinking well now but unlikely to improve. Drink now through 2025.

Mid-weight palate of cool climate in season red cherries and vosne spice. Very long. Not a lot of tannin, but good balance suggests it will hold for a while yet.

First Littorai. I clearly don't drink enough of these. Lovely, balanced wine, restrained, yet reflective of Sonoma Coast. Big whiff of raspberry on opening, some plum mixes in on palate, with a little white pepper, touch of baking spice and nice long finish. Wine shows the acidity of the vintage, but not a problem and was lovely with food or its own. Drink or hold.

While this has just a touch of Sonoma juiciness and aroma, this is far from the stereotype. It has a savory mid-palate and some mouth-watering acidity on the finish. Balanced, elegant, and fine—truly well-made Pinot noir that represents its site and cool vintage.

PnP, but opened a bit with some air. The nose showed lots of cola and forest floor. On the palate this medium bodied wine showed these same elements, along with red fruit, some dark red fruit, balancing acidity, and a touch of drying tannin. I would suggest giving this wine some air, or more cellar time, to bring out the fruit and integrate the tannins.

had at the end of a night of drinking with good friends; excellent wine as usual - but our palates were all shot. this is elegant not a CA fruit bomb. still very new world, but lighter and more elegant in its expression

PnP. Medium light red. Savory notes of forest floor and spice on the nose. Echoed on the palate with darker fruits combining with the minerality. Good long finish. This is quite subtle and intriguing; the opposite of an easy drink. I think the fruit will fade from this point forward but the balance is good so may surprise.

Light red color, which is a nice contrast to many CA pinots I’ve had lately that are dark and brooding. This is very Burgundian. Opened more and more every 10 minutes in the glass and my sense is this could age another 5-10 years quite easily. Seductive perfume to entice, followed by asian spices and tart cranberry ending with a long lithe finish. Well balanced acidity throughout made for a delightful wine.

PnP. Decided to open this as a Sonoma Coast and winemaker counterpoint to a Rochioli Three Corner '10 from last night. Medium dark red; complex nose of dark and red fruits mixed with spice; intriguing and less obvious than the full throttle Rochioli. On the palate this shows lovely balance, fruit, spice, fine grained tannins - lovely. 13.1 abv vs 14.5 for the Rochioli.

Decanted for about 90 minutes in advance of service. Bouquet is bursting with aromas of strawberry and clove. Very balanced mid-mouth feel with a nicely integrated finish - the 4 years this has sat in my cellar have paid off. Not my favorite plot of Littorai soil, but a very nice wine that makes me happy :) Went nicely with dijon chicken...

Pretty nose of cranberries and dark strawberries. Palate shows a perfectly balanced Pinot Noir that is pure and precise. The focus of this is amazing. Cranberries with a slight note of tartness truly adds interest, this has a wonderful structure that just holds it all together so effortlessly and easily. I would say that this is fully resolved now and should hold for a few years. A very confident wine with so much awesomeness to give, it truly reflects Littorai's approach perfectly and.

Top notch. Littoral is consistently outstanding and although I would normally pick the Haven or Mays Canyon as Littorai's top Pinots this is right there with them. 13.1% alcohol, beautiful fruit (red berry) and drinking very well.

Disappointing within the Littorai range. Very ripe, big red fruits, stewed character, lacking acidity to balance. Sickly-sweet after the first glass. Very much the opposite of what I've come to expect from this first-rate winemaker. After 2 hours in glass, developed a "hot" character and further lost balance. Was 2011 a hot vintage? Drink up now.

First bottle for NYE. Not sure if this wine is simply too young, but I found the fruit overpowering. Not much complexity and the aromatics were muted. A well made wine, but I expected more. Would recommend holding this for a few more years to allow more integration. GOOD.

Bright, brilliant, balanced. Lovely spice and minerality, with kiss of sweet deep red / complex cherry fruit. A superb example of cold climate Pinot Noir.

To my pleasant surprise, this is already drinking really well. Floral nose (roses), orange and spice, juicy rich red berry palate but fresh and nicely balanced. Long finish. Very impressed.

Solid 93. Sampled from a series of 6 wines at the winery including the Mays Canyon Pinot, the savoy, the roman, the cerise pinot, and the the mays canyon chard. From this fantastic lineup, the platt comes in closely just behind the mays canyon (my personal favorite of the group) in this showing... 93+?

Nice wine, elegant, even, in the equation, but doesn't really maintain sufficiently through dinner and after.
