A slight bit of funk at first, but that blew off pretty quickly and this really came around nicely with air. Weighty and rich, lots of minerals and crushed rocks, acidity has a nice bite to it. Good tension and cut, I’d drink these sooner rather than later though.

This just keeps getting better and better - though it must now be at the summit. Youthful light gold color. Incredible stony, mineral, green melon intensity. Raw honey. Broad and expansive with admirable weight. Yet light as a feather on the palate and well balanced. Long finish. Drink now for optimum pleasure. Dang good. Sad this is my last bottle. (95)

I continue to be impressed by this wine from one of my favorite white wine producers. 10k gold / green color. Nose is full of wood spice, sweet apple and Irish spring. Sunny and perfumed. The palate is grippy and delightful. More mature than the last bottle with no less energy. The fruit is golden. Very long finish. A knockout with more life in front of it. Yum. (94)

From a magnum. Very good Puligny typicity. A touch of sulfur on the nose, not dominant. Stone fruit and orange blossom-driven palate, very compact, showing a touch of ripeness. Slightly clipped finish, but that's picking nits TBH.

what a great spot for this, while some residual sulfur notes initially, this was so full of fruit and depth of flavors and great minerality. This is such a good year for all PYCM whites.

Juicy. That’s what comes to mind when drinking the delicious, vibrant white burgundy. Very light golden color is followed by a nose that is all crushed stones and wood spice. Lean and mean ( in a good way), this wine has subtle texture but oversized impact. Great balance and just delicious. (92)

Bursting with minerals out front, fruit to follow - not quite tropical, not quite citrus but hints of each... quince, lemongrass... generous med-weight. Wife: “this reminds me how much I like wine”

Rounded and elegant bouquet. Unbalanced palate was low on fruits with high minerals. Moderate acidity. A village at most. Absolutely overpriced at current market.

Candied nose, more ripe than the village wines, with less acidity... Very nice mineral taste, hint of citrus, good but a little bit below the village wines of 2010 vintage...

Smoke, very mineral nose, hint of citrus... taste huge mineral, loads of citrus, lenght of 30 sec, still perfectly young, a bit uni-dimensional and lacking the complexity of the Boillot

Half bottle. Medium yellow. None of the reductive aromas that have plagued more recent vintages. No green notes either (I found some the last time). Silky texture, medium weight, lemon drop, and a touch of wood. Very much in the style of this producer, drinking superbly, and a beautifully balanced 2011. Much more than I expected.

Pale, slightly cloudy yellow. Complex nose of citrus, white flower, mint, and crushed rock. Concentrated lemon and mineral flavors on the palate. Finishes long and intense, with lemon and mineral notes. The 2011 Les Chenevottes is quite impressive and surpasses expectations. Good now.
No formal note, but this was lovely and open. Wonderfully balanced with richer stone fruits cut by some mineral citrus action. Silky on the palate. Ticks all the boxes. In a good place now but likely to gain complexity with bottle age.

very nice. mid-weight (lighter than I expected), and sulfur wasn't as overwhelming as it can tend to be with PYCM. blew off nicely within 30 minutes.
explosion of flavor on the palate - clearly chardonnay, but much higher rocks-to-sunshine ratio than a comparably priced (high-end) CA chard. love the mineral expression with just a touch of tropical fruit this brings to the table.
Burgundy Dinner (Rock Pool Bar and Grill): Toast, slightly earthy, wet stone and with a certain green quality, stone fruit, slight spice. Despite that earthiness the wine is clean. In the mouth the wine is rich, concentrated with flavours of stone fruit and spice though it is, perhaps, a little short

Half bottle. Light yellow and slightly cloudy. Intriguing nose of mint and florality. Lighter weight, and interestingly, leaner than the series of St. Aubins from Colin-Morey tasted today, although does show some butteriness later. Highly focused lemon fruit and minerality with unrelenting drive. This is outstanding, reminiscent of some Ramonet bottlings in its mintiness, and exceptionally bright and lively for this vintage.

Pale yellow colour. Yellow and white fruits, citrus gun flint and some subtle smokey oak on the nose and palate. Good minerally acidity, which is refined and elegant - it's nicely integrated. There is solid intensity and a rather suave mouthfeel. Good energy here.

Quick notes (Vernon): My first PYCM. Light lemon color. Very strange nose of bitter lemon, sweet lemon candies. Fairly high acidity. Bitter (almost rotten?) lemon, fairly soft, creamy texture on a medium frame. Medium, slightly clipped, finish of bitter lemon. Not enjoyable.

After all the PYCM hype, this is rather a letdown. Bright lemon zest, chalk and faint waxy elements on the nose and palate, but there's not a great deal of complexity here, and it finishes a touch warm with the alcohol showing on the back end.
