There seems to be quite a variance of scores on this one. Certainly not an under 80 point nor over 90 point wine. Mid to upper 80's, It's a decent under $15 everyday wine (at Costco). A bit light with ample acidity. Would be best drunk with food. I think a few years of bottle age will help this wine. Much better than most under $20 California Pinot noir.

Medium body, Bright crimson color. Elegant red fruits aroma. Cherry, strawberry and may be blueberry on the palate, medium long finish. Light and fresh, complex, well balanced, nice acidity and soft tannins. Food friendly, best match is poultry or semi-hard cheeses. Open half hour in advance. Serve 16º - 22º. Drink now.

Slightly more tannin and acidity than the 2011 of the same wine. Could improve potentially, but no need to wait. A wine for people that like to drink wine as a part of their meal. Not a stand-alone blockbuster by any stretch.

Stone fruit minerality with a light bodied sour cherry, mossy herbal thing going on. Short finish - acidic...still waiting for Pinot's to really grab me. Had to be patient with this one.
Day 2 - I let it decant (a no-no with this one apparently) and found some leather.
Not bad, no problems - but not exactly my favourite.

Deep ruby. An attractive bouquet of red cherry, raspberry and a little red plum. Some gentle spice. Reflecting the vintage, juicy, full and succulent on palate. Good ripe red berry fruit. Fairly linear and not complex or multi-layered but fine for this level. Below medium weight. Quite approachable and fairly soft and friendly. Adequate acidity. A good everyday drinking Burgundy. Drink now or optimally in the next 6-8 years (and will probably live longer).

I usually run when I see the Latour label (ok, I'm guilty of buying the cheap ones). This one was a gift, and I dreaded opening it, but I was surprised - I liked it. A little fruitier than your typical Burgundy, but it was pleasant, smooth, short finish, went well with food. A decent table wine.

Exactly the sort of fruity, light Pinot I like to drink on a Friday evening. It's not trying to be a NZ or a U.S. Pinot and why should it? It's a simple, well made Burgundy Pinot. Soft, light, fruity with cherries and raspberries as well a savoury touch, with a little sourness on the finish. It tastes of "my glass is already empty, top it up please" and carry on the conversation.

Not the best Burgundy I've had. A bit of slightly metallic harshness, not much fruit and medium acidity. Fairly simple once you get past the bite and a fairly short finish. I understand that this is an entry level Bourgogne but Latour is usually pretty reliable, may have opened this too early.

Upon open, nose has a whiff of earth / barnyard, but just a fleeting whiff. Not a whole lot else. Palate just didn't have much of anything. Moderately high acidity and tannins. As the bottle wore on, and onto a second day, the wine seemed to develop some traditionally white wine characteristics. Had some sauvignon blanc aromas of grapefruit and citrus. Some tropical fruits on the palate. Maybe a hint of pineapple?!?! Also limestone, wet stone and minerals. While certainly interesting, I'm not going to increase my rating. Not really sure what to make of this wine.

I had very low expectations for this, but over time this really opened up into a very decent wine - lots of stone fruit, cherries and brisk acidity. Lively and punchy. Good match for BBQ food.

Nice pinot noir, dark red, fruitty bouquet and taste with some spice on it, medium acidity, soft on the tanins.

Light ruby color, almost purple. Nose with an animal, warm character. Tastes a bit weak and acidic. Not a blockbuster...

Simple aromas of blackcurrant with green notes. Not much Pinot Noir here. Reminds me about a cheap Chilean wine. Sweet fruit and decent concentration.
