Huge nuts or other barrel notes upon opening. No enough time to wait for more vege notes of the variety. Bitter on the palate. No one on the table liked this.

Pale lemon in the glass. Clean, youthful nose showing notes of freshly cut grass, tomato leaf, wet stone, citrus fruit and green apple. Nice, refreshing acidity, but is overpowered by the ridiculous levels of alcohol. Medium finish. A wine that lacks complexity, balance and any kind of depth. Not worth the price in any life.

An unfortunate '12 ended up in a handful of '14s I purchased so I set it aside for cookery. Initially, little flavor, just screechy. When I went to use the rest of the bottle days later, however, it had blossomed. Green apple fruit with kaffir lime leaf, white grapefruit and hay--surprising. We drank it!

A short Afternoon with some New World-wines (Mövenpick retail store, Hamburg): this vintage is showing more fruit, the typical gooseberry of the leading SB, good fresh mouthfeel, with some matury more balanced with fresh saline notes, ending long and tasty, still a bit onedimensional, for the next 3+ years, because of its too high price (20€) uninteresting to buy, **+

“Discover California’s Wines”, Wine 1 (non-blind): The wine was medium lemon in colour and offered some floral notes, lemon tart, ripe gooseberry, lime, grapefruit, quince, vanilla and smoke on the nose. On the palate the wine showed lemon, lime, ripe gooseberry and hints of vanilla and smoke, with medium-plus acidity, a good mouthfeel and very good length. The fresh, medium-bodied wine was very balanced, the oak was well-integrated. Very good.

Mellow, a little oaky, melon, grapefruit, it's more creamy from the oak tannins than it is overtly oaky. Nothing wrong with it other than being a touch sweet, a touch thick, and rather lifeless.

Drank this wine last night at a colleague's farewell at New Ubin Seafood last night. Drank this side by side with a 2012 Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc.
Colour is pale yellow, with a rocky, flint and lime on the palate. Restrained minerals and fruits with a dry finish. The presence of oak in the wine is unmistakable, making it a very difference in style to the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

Very light golden color. Very floral to nose. Maybe honeysuckle. Start is citrusy with maybe a tad bit pear. Finish is a great deal of mineral. Best described as a taste of a wet rock. Really like the balance of the wine throughout.

Nose: white flowers, tropical fruit, cut grass and hint of tangerines.
Palate: refreshing, balanced, honeysuckle flowers and mango against crisp acidity. Enjoy this as it captures the imagination of a light summer fruit salad (without the syrupy taste)

This pale yellow/green wine is a blend of 87% Sauvignon Blanc and 13% Sémillon. It offers aromas and flavors of white flowers, citrus peel, tropical fruit and freshly cut grass. Light-bodied, crisply acidic and with seamless alcohol (listed as 13.5%), it also provides a nice touch of minerality. The flavors and crispness remain steadfast throughout the middle and medium-length back end. This is a well-made, well-priced Sauvignon Blanc which delivers excellent varietal character and freshness. Pair it with light fare or enjoy it as an apéritif. Drink now-2016.

Clean in glass, with tropical aromatics. Palate is rich in fruit, dominated by a nectarine-like flavor, some pineapple and mango. Light on acidic snap, but otherwise a good quaffer.
