Picked this up in an auction lot at Falltacular. Light transparent cranberry color, nose of mushrooms and cotton candy. Zippy red fruit, cranberry and blood orange really mix well. Lively mid-palate, juicy, with a hint of garrigue, maybe pine needle, reminiscent of some Rivers Marie Occidental fruit but lighter. Easy drinking, really enjoyable once the cellar chill wears off, no noticeable alcohol. Very food friendly, mark me as a fan. CT drinking window is way off on this one.

Really unbelievable QPR at 30 bucks. The nose shows fresh cranberries. The palate has zingy acid with mouthwatering red fruit. A really nice, creamy finish that echoes the fresh cranberries on the nose.

Had this the same week as a Henry's Block. It doesn't have the same knock-you-over perfume, but the Terra Narro might just be the better wine. Contemplative, sippable over a long period, I can almost feel the Santa Cruz. Good acid. Not cheap, but still an excellent value. Excellent.

Cherries and spice. Well made wine. Strong QPR. Berserker day special. Can't wait to try the upper end bottles. Still California here, but nose is towards burgundy initially, but more Californian as it had some air. Excited to find this producer.

Really enjoyed this. Bright red cranberry/raspberry fruits, baking spice nice acidity. Little heat but this was really good in a California kind of way.

Santa Cruz Mountains day: Coffee, soy. Nice firm black cherry fruit. Similar to RRV but firmer with a bit more acid. Good smoky finish with a little bitter walnut. B

Consumed over 2 nights. PnP and drank over 1 hour on 1st night. Pleasant to the nose with red berry fruit and spice. Silky and smooth going down w/notes of mostly red fruit and good minerality in a Cali-centric package. Good to drink right after uncorking, whereas with extended air brought more pronouced oak notes and tannins. Good value at its price point. (92+)

This was our first Windy Oaks pinot but certainly not our last it was so good. A Berserker's special that introduced us to this wine. Obviously extremely well made that was drinking great with a pop and pour of the wine which was just delivered yesterday. Loved it.
