Been a while since I have visited this old friend Consistent as alway light almost strew in color. Soft legs. Nose has that grass and hay from the farm scent to it. Hints of fresh cut citrus and apples. Crisp and refreshing had with sautéed mahi went well. Always a bit pricey for this wine type but you get what you pay for.

Consumed with some aged sharp cheeses and found this wine pleasant but without any true body at the end. Find that I am not impressed with this Italian pinot grigio wine. Find that the ones I like best are from Sciliy from old growth vines. The cost factor difference is nominal but the taste isn't.

Aromas of melon, nectarine and lemon. Melon, citrus, mineral and saline on the palate. Leads to a medium length, bright finish with good acidity. Paired with potato soup.

A wonderfully balanced pinot grigio, especially for its price. A springy nose, and light pear/golden delicious on the tongue. Nice, long finish and medium-low acidity.

I rated this wine high on here a couple of months back. Bought a case since by mail order and it is not what I experienced with this wine when I had it in a restaurant / bought in store. The wine I have now is the same year and comes from the same area but it is just a mediocre Pinot Grigio. I wonder if the merchant did not store the wine properly? Why else would it be so different? Dissapointed... :-(

I'd say this has a little deeper aroma than some other pinot grigio I've had. Less floral elements, more fruit. I detect no oak, in aroma or flavor. Light, crisp, and sharp on the tongue. Has a medium yellow color.
Tasted above 61°F.

Fresh and fruity grape favor stands out with and earthiness that only this wine has I found with a ton of floral notes. As I taste the at end was crispiness of the fresh pears that I enjoyed.

In your standard wine shop, there will be plenty of pinot grigio for less than ten dollars, most of them more or less the same as any other one. And then you will see this bottle for twice that price. For me, Santa Margherita offers a textbook demonstration of why someone might pay that extra amount. The big difference is not the flavor profile or the aromas, but the sheer amount of focused intensity that this wine offers. It is a humming, buzzing, cascading torrent of flavor and palate motion, and all you need is one sip to swept along for the ride. Other pinot grigios may be crisp, but this one is razor-sharp, and on top of that has a finish that just keeps on singing.
Perfect for creamy pastas as well as crisp vegetable dishes.

An outstanding Pinot Grigio. Had a bottle in a restaurant, loved it and bough more for home. Pairs well with fish and any kind of cream soup. Elegant, smooth, satisfying. Nice to drink on its own without food. In my opinion one of the best Pinot Grigios out there.

Vin léger et fruité donc pas dans ma palette. Mais meilleur avec accord fondue au fromage. Gout final que j'aimais moins au final plus subtil en mangeant.

A light straw color with citrus, green apple, and honeysuckle aroma. The palate is crisp and light showing lemon zest, guava, melon, and apricot, and it finishes with a salty minerality. A good, refreshing wine with solid acidity and good balance.

The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean and youthful, showing medium intensity aromas of neutral green fruits (green apple, pear), tropical fruits (melon), white pepper and hints of neutral white flowers. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium(+) refreshing acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium body. It has medium(+) intensity flavours of green fruits (green apple), tropical fruits (melon), lemon peel, white pepper and hints of neutral white flowers. The finish is medium(+).
It is a very good quality wine. It has a nice fruit concentration well-balanced by the fresh acidity and a decent finish. However maybe a bit more of complexity could be expected event if the style is typically neutral. Can drink now, but it has enough acidity and fruit concentration to develop a bit more of complexity over the next 1-2 years.

Bright, lemony, and tart, and tastier than previous vintages. There's not much depth but has pleasant notes of lime blossom, Meyer lemon, melon, cream, and a citrus pith finish.

Never seems to fail, regardless of vintage. Not worth $28 / bottle, but as I find it on sale for $18, it's a good value.
