Quite yellow/gold in color. Subtle oak in the aroma, lemon, maybe some peach. Racy on the palate, lemony, no hints of that buttery quality that often doesn’t work for me in new world Chardonnay. Feels focused and intense. I really liked this. With the acidity level this high, it probably has more time but is great now.

The cork was intact and the color a light yellow. The nose showed faint lemon aromas. On the palate, I found the wine tart, acidic with little palate weight. Almost like I was drinking lemon juice!
Note for reader: I bought 6 bottles of this wine in August of 2015. 5 of the 6 the bottles have been consistently as described above. I can only hypothesize that something happened to my bottles that did not show in the cork, ullage or labels. If I had to guess my bottles were exposed to some heat that led to the breakdown of the more refined citrus notes that others have alluded to in their reviews. I only used this vendor once and have yet again decided the quality of what you get is in the reputation of the vendor and the Provence of the bottles that they are selling.

PnP, chilled. A touch of oak on the nose. The medium to plus bodied palate showed lots of acidity, substantial oak, but only a modest presence of citrusy lemon. Sorry, but not our style of Chard. Personal feelings aside, I would also support the "drink it now" recommendations.

My first bottle, four months ago, was a little dark and would be about an 86. This bottle is lighter in color, has a light spice nose, citrus tang mouth feel, and long lemon curd finish. ALERT, the corks broke on both bottles, but neither the ends nor the break lines were crumbled. I support the 2018 end of the drinking window. Get those bottles out of the cellar and open!

Drinking fabulously right now. Well balanced with rich fruit and and a hint of mineral undertones. Very Burgundian - the best Chardonnay I’ve tasted this year.

For all the crap 2011 pinots I've had from them, this really makes up for it. Excellent bottle that's really at the top of the chard game in the US. Great acidity, medium bodied, wonderful fruit, long finish. Not too big or heavy, just perfectly balanced.

Might be my bottle was off a bit, as I didn't get big fruit or racy acidity. It wasn't bad, just what I might call "late in life." I had a more stone quality with subtle but present oak flavors. Did take a couple hours to open and was better on first day. By day two, it lost more and was almost gone. I think this wine might be on its last legs.

Had at BNI at their 50% off bottle sale for less than $50! This is absolutely killer. Great presence in the mouth. Satiny and medium-to-full bodies. Great nose of white flowers, powdered sugar and citrus. Palate is impeccably balances with great cut to the Granny Smith apples, nectarine and a fresh squeeze of lemon.

Slightly dark golden yellow color. Possible slight tinge of browning. Nose is good- not big but nice. Flavor is just a hair off from what I expect - but not inconsistent to color. Will open another bottle soon.

Light gold color. Drank a 2oz pour over 15 minutes. The nose shows white fruits, lemon, a bit of salinity, mineral, subtle toast, a touch of citrus zest. The palate is refined, medium body, lemon, pear, light saline, mildly round, lighter mineral, medium finish. I liked this a lot but, it didn't seem to show the depth of previous bottles. 90+ to 91pts.

Domaine Serene Tasting Dinner (Sunfish Cellars, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. 2oz pour over 15 minutes. Rock solid and classy again; restrained but with plenty of depth and elegance. The nose has a high tone with apple butter, delicate wood, a touch of vanilla cream. The palate is deep and layered, intense, tree fruits, mild to moderate minerality, youthful with a touch of matchstick on a long finish. 92+ pts. Recommended.

Exuberant bouquet of lemon oil, quince, aspirin tablet, smoky oak and cream. Similar on the palate, full body, nicely balanced. A rich generous New World style chardonnay but thankfully not an oaky butter bomb like so many others.

Domaine Serene Tasting (Bin 75): Pale yellow straw; poached pear, vanilla, smoke, butter, nice focus and drive; good texture and acid, almost mineral component, more tight than nose suggests; drink sooner if you like more of a Burgundian expression, the New World character should unfold with more time in bottle.

Domaine Serene current releases.: Candied lemon peel aromas. Nose shows a very burgundy-styled approach. Nuanced. More mineral than fruit to the nose. Subtle, light clove and spice to the palate, but not an overburdened Chardonnay. Not too creamy, but some circus peanut to the palate.

Domaine Serene Tasting Dinner (Marin, Minneapolis, MN): Light gold color. PNP, drank 1 glass over 40 minutes. Nose shows green tree fruits, melon, lemon, and a bit tropical, floral, with modest oak. The palate has good verve, medium-full body, tree fruit, tropical, very elegant, tasty, long finish. 92+pts.

Lovely expansive nose with just a hint of citrus. Creamy mouthfeel reminiscent of better premiere Cru white Burgs. Just a wisp of oak. Very lovely.
