Opened this bottle at Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine to celebrate my father's birthday.
Salmon pink in colour with a crisp, sharp palate. Fresh acidity allowed this wine to be paired effortlessly with most of the food items over the course of the dinner.

Opened a bottle at home to celebrate my spouse's birthday. We had food from New Ubin Seafood.
For a Champagne, this carries more weight than the usual blancs. For a Rose, it is lighter as compared to the other roses. Not very well structured or tasty, but complimented the food we ordered, nonetheless.

Opened this wine at Jin Long Restaurant with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: Pinot Noir.
Beautiful coral pink in colour. Small bubbles continue into the evening as we ate and dined. As compared to the Veuve Clicquot, this wine has a sharp and lean texture and a shorter finish.

This had more pronounced orange coloring and a touch of oxidation on the nose. Think I held it too long. Richer strawberry flavors on the palate. Drink now.

Angelica wine Club - Sparkling (Strand Cellars, Croydon): Slight wild strawberries and a little herbaceous note, biscuit and a little boiled sweet note. Juicy, tangy, savoury strawberry, some floury burr dries the mid palate, mousse is crisp but dissipates quickly leaving a sense of alcohol warmth.

One of the best rose wines I have had in a long time, whether a still wine or sparkler. Lovely vivid, deep, and translucent pink. Superb by itself and with most any food. Complex and delicious fruits of lemon, lime, raspberry, cherry, and pomegranate. Very nice tannin, crisp acidity, and caressingly bubbles down the throat.

It was but a Tuesday night, not a typical situation where I go searching for a bottle of bubbles to accentuate my early week, but this is basketball season, and I coach my son’s J.V. team that has won a grand total of three games over the last four years. Tonight, we played the #2 team in the state and they showed us no mercy. Less than no mercy, if that is even possible. Up 45 points late in the third quarter, they were still guarding us full-court. I asked the opposing coach: “How many points do you need to call off the press?” He ignored me. I persisted: “50? 60? What will it take?” I suggested that he would have more competition in lay-up drills, and even though this drew laughs from the officials, the leader of our opponent remained stoic. I guess he defined his own worth by how many points his team was able to hang on a group of hapless 15 year-olds. Eventually, he called off the press and was able to eke out a 68-8 victory. For me? Although I detest losing, I knew I had this bottle of champers waiting patiently in the fridge. Dark, even for a still rosé, with oodles of strawberry, a bit of rhubarb, and just a hint of baked bread on the nose. Fruity and lovely on the palate with all those fruity flavors buoyed by bracing acidity and a lengthy finish. Wonderful. thedrunkencyclist.com

Enjoyed as part of a birthday celebration. Clear, medium pink hue, medium effervescence and mousse. Fully developed aromas of medium spicy red berry, toast, bread, dried raspberry, and light cherry. Dry sparkling wine. Medium plus flavors of spicy raspberry, tart cherry, bread, and dried berry. Medium alcohol and medium minus body. Medium plus acidity supports a medium plus finish. Very good Champagne displaying some complexity, great balance, nice length, and very good intensity. Drink now, not suitable for further aging.

Strawberries, yeast, straw and hint of honey on the nose. Solid bead. Great texture and balance of alcohol and sugar. The one bad tasting note must have had a bad bottle, because I get very little alcohol. Amazing QPR. Delightfully crisp with hints of berries and just a little hit of sweetness on the finish.

As pointed out in my tasting note back in August 2016, you just can't beat the QPR in he low $30's. Enjoyed at a birthday celebration and got a thumbs up from all.

Enjoyed this. Very full flavored rose. We had in pair with an Egly-Ouriet Brut Rose and the Abele was the richer more concentrated berry fruit wine. Vibrant mousse and acidity, lots of strawberry and a bit of pucker. Paired with a spicy steak tartare and that worked very nicely as this is an assertive wine. Great QPR and happy to have a couple more. Plenty of structure so no rush on this one.

Very enjoyable brut rose purchased at less than $32 from the Last Bottle. Light salmon color exhibiting very small bubbles and flavors and aromas of strawberry, brioche, raspberry and some light minerality. Easy to drink especially given the fantastic QPR

Pale copper color. Very fine bubbles. Light and vibrant. Very easy to like, it disappeared very fast. It really reminds of the finest of Provence roses in their delicate refreshing ways. At $30, this is a buy.

Not sure about the previous negative review, but this wine was a crowd favorite at our Christmas party with the wine club, second only to a 2004 Bollinger. Rich and balanced. Wish I had a lot more!

I don't agree with the previous reviews. Palate is STRONGLY dominated by alcohol....in fact, that's all I can perceive. It tastes like isopropyl alcohol with bubbles. Ugghh. I've never tasted champagne like this.
Even cut with organge juice, it would taste like a fizzy screwdriver!

91 WS, release price $55, bought from WTSO for $28. A great value. This Champagne delivers. Just the right amount of acidity. I would buy again for sure. Comparable to other premium Rose Champagne.
I don’t think many people know of this brand: Henri Abel Champagne - established 1757 - the third oldest Champagne house.

Opened this bottle at Haidilao (Bugis+) for dinner with my friends from the university days.
Salmon pink, with a bit of burnt toast, crackers and salient sea-salt.
Not the best for pairing with steamboat or hotpot.
