This wine is the tits. Lemon curd, reduction and that zip zip acidity you just love from good white burg. Wish they could all be this good but they ain't. PYCM is just delicious.

This is stonking really for vintage and appellation in particular. It funnily reminds me of crossover of Coche and Raveneau and it just gets better with temperature too. Lovely reduction on the nose but not distractingly much to let shine the deep radiant fruit which isn’t quitting and it’s pure too. Stunning and four bottles in few months totally consistent. Hard to see this not being at peak and will drink my remaining two over the next year. Well done PYMC!

Light-medium yellow in color. Aromas of yellow and green citrus zest, pomelo, florals and wet stones. Sharp and focused palate shows yellowish green citrus pith, minerals, good acidity and a long tart and slightly bitter finish.

Opened and left it breath for 30 min and consumed over 1.5 hours. Some matchstick that disappears after some time in glass, slightly woodie, white fruit but overall not very expressive, quite the opposite. Plenty of tropical fruit in palate, savory, good acidity. Minerality comes up in the back end. Good wine but nothing exciting, at least for this vintage. 90+

A welcome green gold hue with a stony chalky nose with citrus pith, verbena and subtle floras, but mostly stone. There is a touch of matchstick, but it's subtle at this point. On the palate, it's a chiseled, stony wine with a little pointy elbows with more citrus pith, asian pear, oyster shell and chalk. Drinking it is like licking the mother rock. Tightly coiled at first, toothsome, with the acid a bit out of balance at first. This is not about fruit, rather to steal Jeremy's term it is about geologic matter. A stern wine for rock heads that has a little bit of a hollow midpalate. It cleaned up and gained little depth and came together a bit over three days, but did not lose its sense of internal dissonance. I love acid and stone driven wines, and really like PYCM's wines in general. This wine: I like it, don't love it. I don't think this a phase in this bottling. YMMV.

Drank this at a dinner party side-by-side two other 2013 Saint-Aubin 1er Crus (En Remilly and Les Perrières). This was very, very good and had a very distinct character (indeed all three did), but just didn't seem quite as complete as the En Remilly. All are in a good place to enjoy now.

Medium yellow in color. Aromas of greenish yellow fruits, herbal spice, yellow flowers and lemon curd on the nose. The palate reveals sweet-tart just underripe orchard pit fruits, green herbs, very good acidity and a long finish. Nice.
Open for business almost right away, without much air, and only a fleeting hint of matchstick reduction. Layered lemon, pear, ocean, and oyster shell aromatics. Detailed and fresh overall, with a touch of richness and a mineral fade. A lovely wine in a great spot.

We drank this over two nights. The first night, it was dominated by reductive match strike aromas. Still nice if you like that style. The sulfur faded quite a bit after a night sealed in the refrigerator. Crisp lemons, pears and minerals. If you have it, decant a while; it needs plenty of air, or maybe a copper penny.

Touch of the house-style reduction remaining...but wow, what's underneath is rockin'. Palate-staining. concentrated lemon curd, acid and minerality that really lingers on the finish. Has power through its intensity while remaining light-footed. Delicious.

A superb showing for this wine. Better than previous bottles. Precise, juicy, acidic, and impeccable. Beautiful nose of stony apple fruit with a touch of citrus lurking. Lovely in the mouth, with great purity. The apple fruit is delightful, backed up with light wood spice and a wonderful, mineral-laden personality. Great stuff. A-/A

Big reductive notes on the nose and palate add a really nice savory quality to this wine. Medium+ body and deep concentration of flavor are nicely balanced by the medium+ acidity. It probably lacks a bit on the finish and doesn't have the minerality compared to Chassagne, Puligny & Meursault, but this is as good of a St. Aubin as I have had. 91+

Pop and pour. First whiff gives off a somewhat pleasant aroma of matchstick but that turns to poopy SO2 rather quickly. I set the wine aside for about an hour and came back. The SO2 has blown off and the wine is beautiful showing pure melon fruit and a terrific waxy texture. This was simply delicious and rather fun to drink.

Still haven't found a bad bottle of PYCM St Aubin. Some reductive notes that blew off after a while. Stone-y, crispy, acidic goodness. A little bit of musk as well. Delicious.

Dinner with friends and Paul Bara, PYCM and CVNE (Chuckanut Manor): I still marvel at everything from PYCM. This was the first bottle of his '13 St. Aubin's in which I didn't notice a transient reductive burnt matchstick upon opening. Great right at the get-go. Equal lemon and peach-apple white fruit. Nice acidity balances the luscious glycerine texture and mouthfeel I love in his wines.

Brief whiff of sulfur goes away with 30 seconds in the glass. Hints of oak, but quite accessible. A beautiful richness to the wine with great acidity to give lift. So easy to drink now, and will add more depth with time.

Light, bright yellow. On the nose, orchard fruit follows appealing reductive notes of matchstick, smoke, and nuts. Medium body, nice acidity, persistent finish. This will benefit from a few more years to integrate. Drink starting 2018.

This is on the young side but a smoking bottle of wine already. Medium yellow color. Gorgeous nose of green apple, pear, judicious levels of oak, and plenty of mineral backbone. In the mouth, vibrant, walking the balance between rich and lean beautifully, with laser focus, gobs of fruit, plenty of acidity and minerality, and gorgeous texture. A very fine wine that will be fun to track over the next several years. A-

Fat bottle with a wax capsule. Ripe orchard fruits, match stick and toasted oak reminds me Coche Meursault which is a pleasant surprise. Quite ripe but the overall expression is very pure. The fruit expression is not terribly complex but the great wine making gives good complexity and makes it incredibly enjoyable. One of the greatest sub $50 white burgundies.

Beautiful juice even though clearly quite young. The minerality and saline components are there and are just what I love about white burgs from PYCM. On opening there was reduction on the nose and a touch of sulfur. Thought about decanting, but instead just left the cork off to let it breathe a bit and the reduction blew off over the next hour or so.
Next time I would probably formally decant to speed up the process if I have friends over and we open one of these. PYCM never disappoints!
