Acker "Paulee" Burgundy Dinner (Capital Seafood - Beverly Hills CA): Paulee style dinner. So concentrated, rich, and powerful, it nearly has the textures of a sweet wine, but is just so bright at the same time. Backward and nearly brooding, this is brilliant wine that wants to be left alone for another decade, 95-97+ point potential. Thanks, Bobby!

best white wine of the evening , so mineral , I had big flavor in the nose of clementine (small oranges) very nice and at the end some butter going to popcorn, the entrance of the mouth was perfect , sharp, but at the end after a beautyfull length , I tasted a little bit of tram, green, a spot of acidity of early picking, but nearly perfect ! corton has a finesse that from all the wines of coche , only he can produce this style, njam

Bright, ultra fresh. Muscular. Improves with air. Strong acids. It’s recognizably Coche but too young to demonstrate much beyond its power. Impressive, though.

(Kurznotiz) Tiefgründig, hochkomplex, anfangs verhalten, braucht viel Zeit, saftig im Gaumen, straff, klar und rein, sensationelle Frucht, noch jung, mit guten Reserven. Grandioses Weissweinkino. www.vvwine.ch

Ka-pow! This is a firecracker that explodes on you the instant your nose comes within inches of the glass, and has flavors to match. In a flight with 10/15 Ramonet Monty (which were singing) I had to put this aside so I could focus on those, such is the power. Of the 3 wines, I felt maybe this could have used a decant the most, it’s so youthful, so powerful. I rated the other wines equally, because I felt they were showing more fully, while this one has another gear over time imo. I usually get to drink these because of the incredible generosity of one of my friends, so thanks once again ODM. Memorable with upside

just lights out. As usual KR522 note will be more eloquent. Had this next to a flight of 2010 and 2015 ramonet montrachet. Those were both decanted which may have impacted our thoughts. However I drank the 12 Coche over the course of 4 hours and the arch of the wine was special. That intensity and power is still there but again with air the matchstick and flint become more prevalent. I could see why some would decant but the time in the glass allows one to witness the wine unfurl itself. The journey allows one to enjoy all the different sensations.97/98 Showing a touch more depth and substance in comparison to the 11 enjoyed 6 weeks ago.

A private dinner (Restaurant d'Oude Schuur, Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium): Concentrated and brooding but really very closed, needs much more time in the glass than I could give it, highest quality low toast oak, much deeper pitch than the PYCM 2017 which accompanied it, starting to show some evolution, tangerine zest, hint of matchstick, youthful and still a bit unformed, long and powerful finish. Needs years. Score based on potential.

like is an understatement. have had this wine 2 times in two weeks. young for sure but long. great verve. classic gunflint, popcorn and tension. with air shows more white/tropical fruit. shells and searing precision. just delicious. long life ahead of it.

This is so youthful, with an almost 'just bottled' banana esther character to the nose. It has notes of aniseed, guava, white peach, coconut ice and citrus. It is super-dense, yet silky, with the usual Coche extract and chew. It really breathed up in the glass and was quite wonderful.

lemon yellow color. drink straight after opening the bottle. great nose of green apple, pear, white flower, grapefruit, lemon, lime, honey and roasted sesame with beautiful reduction nose like gunflint, which is the familiar Coche flintness. Medium body with high concentration and super long finish. the mouthful joyful finish was in my mouth like forever.
very pure, fresh and full of energy, a little bit like roulot but not as linear as roulot. 2012 is still young and we didnt give it much time to breath. there was some tertiary flavours but not too much. great wine with a lot of potential.

04488. WOW. Gunpoweder and toasted sesame heaven, literally perfect in every way, zero flaws. There is that universe energy that is so powerful but so quiet, just on and on and everywhere. PnP with a short decant today, surprisingly accessible. Not the old Coche style, this has more freshness than reduction (friend thinks of Roulot, in a way). 98 today, 100 points potential.

Small friends gathering - 90 La Tache, 12 Coche CC, 37 Mouton in mag and etc. (Officina - Washington D.C.): Incredibly big scale yet perfectly balanced nose displaying rich yet pure and cool white and yellow fruit, lemon curd, white peach, apple, really spicy, a hint of Coche matchstick, honey and strong limestone mineral. Exceptional concentration, beautifully layered concentrated white and yellow fruit, rich yet fresh, pure and energetic, noticeable dry extract, bright acidity, strong limestone mineral and a long sweet citrus fruit driven finish with a hint of flint and strong limestone mineral at the end. This is a hedonistic yet classic white Burgundy. Unlike DRC Montrachet, it retains freshness and balance. Drinking perfectly.

I have been lucky enough to drink this wine a handful of times over the last year and it never disappoints. Will it get better with time yes is it amazing now 100%.Intense at first but air gets the classic coche nose of matchstick and classic tropical fruits to show. I've been a lover of this wine from day one and continue to be. 96/97

steely, sweet orchard fruit and painfully intense acidity with a bite of oak at the end. The wine is so dense and expansive. It’s almost hard to drink (someone’s gotta!) due to that density, it brings such an intense bite to the wine. Really sappy on the finish as it pulls through. It’s roaring at every corner of your palate on each sip. This wine will be absolutely insane once it knits together a bit more, but the raw material is so good.

Oh yea. Amazing bottle. Match stick, leesy, nutty, lemon with piercing acidity and electric energy. Maybe I just like my whites young and full of energy and verve and this had that and then some. Really fresh and precise. Great bottle. Thanks Mike - a real treat.

Massive flint then white flowers, a "wow" nose if ever there was one. Palate is lime and lanolin, a hint of sweetness, fans out with intensity and depth some oak on mid-palate, finish is light and long. It's like having 3 wines in one, and finish so long you'd get bored trying to time it. I loved this but we are just scratching the surface - will someone please serve me a bottle in 2028? 🙏🏻

I've been enjoying 2012 white bugs lately and this Coche CC was no exception. A real stunner. In fact we liked it so much we ordered a second bottle off the list and it outperformed the first. Young but definitely very enjoyable now.

France Soir beauty (South Yarra): Talk about a wine to take your breath away this is it. It doesn't get any better than this for white Burgundy. This is the top of the tree. Absolutely mindblowing, stunning in every way and a much more complex wine than the 09 had beside it which was pretty darn good too. There is so much going on in the glass and it's so subtle but the power and intensity of flavour/length that this wine exhibits is extraordinary. The most intricately detailed aromas of white flowers and peach with a minerality which rockets out of the glass. I can't believe how extraordinary this wine is. The palate just shifts gears so effortlessly with seemingly endless power in reserve. Words seriously fail me! It's so finely cut, it has the weight of the finest Chablis with a Montrachet like power and dimension. I don't know, this is the Holy grail and maybe I should retire or forget trying to chase any more unicorns after having this. Perfect!

Perhaps too young, but so good even now. Layers of ripe white and yellow fruit. Tangy acid across the palate, which while focused is not at all sharp. Hints of lemon zest. Lots of mineral notes. Complex and deep. 97+

Mostly Bordeaux dinner with Bob (Magdalena restaurant at the Ivy Hotel, Baltimore): Powerful energetic nose displaying perfectly ripe sweet orchard white fruit, pear, white peach, lemon, curd, sap, flint and mineral. Unbelievable concentration, incredibly layered especially for a white wine, decadent yet beautifully focused and energetic with perfect amount of acidity and mineral and lovely seamless long finish with sweet white fruit and flint at the end. Just wow!
