  • This wine continue to wonder me. Full body, transparent cherry color with brick rims. Intense red fruits and flowers aroma complemented by mushrooms and forest floor. Strawberry and sour cherry palate following by spices, tar and lingering finish of wild berries acidity and muscular tannins. Powerful, rich and complex but harmonies and balanced. Well pairing to beef risotto. Open one hour ahead. Serve 16ºC - 18ºC. Drink now and the next four/five years, perhaps longer.

  • Finally pulled a Barolo out of the cellar that lived up to the hype and I now "get" why Barolo is so sought after.
This wine is wonderful, my other bottle of this must have had a flaw.
Menthol, leather, cigar, on a background of muted dark fruits. Tannins are there but very smooth and enjoyable. Small sips bring a lot of intensity and flavor. Long finish. Score 95

By day #3 was fading fast, day #3 score 90

  • meh, after cellaring for 6 years expected better. Nose was promising but seemed faded and muted.
Starting to dread opening Barolos, either I don't like them that much or the great ones are way out of my price range.

  • Full body, transparent cherry color with brick rims. Intense and complex aroma of red fruits, flowers, tobacco leaves and oak complemented by mushrooms and wet forest. Strawberry and red cherry palate following by spices, licorice and tar on lingering finish. Powerful and rich but easy drinking and balanced in spite so high alcohol level, vital acidity and muscular tannins. Well pairing to gnocchi alla bava. Open one hour ahead. Serve 16ºC - 20ºC. Drink now next eight years, perhaps longer.

  • Nose: There is a plush and balanced with red cherries, raspberries, strawberries, licorice, tobacco, spice notes, rose petals, currants, black tea, juniper berries, tar, and leather notes.

Taste: The feel is Medium/full bodied with crisp, high acidity and chewy, high tannins. The structure is beginning to pull back a bit while the feel is balanced and friendly with red cherries, strawberries, raspberries, licorice, rose petals, black tea, juniper berries, tar, and some leather notes.

Overall: This is in a very good place right now for a barolo that is on the younger side. Still, this could use another few years to reveal itself even further and should have a fairly open life ahead of it for another 10-15+ years.

  • Medium garnet in color. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of youthful & ripe fruit aromas of red cherries & strawberries with overtones of earthy, dusty & floral notes of roses, mint, dried herbs, minerals & cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of smooth textured & balanced, youthful, ripe fruit flavors of red sweet red cherries & strawberries & with herbs, earthiness, spices & minerals. Lingering finish. Although it is readily accessible at present, it should benefit and develop further with additional aging.

  • Medium ruby colour. Medium+ aromas of anise, fennel, red plums, strawberries and hints of violets.

It is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has high coarse tannins and a high alcohol. It is full-bodied with medium+ intensity flavours. The finish is long.

It is a good quality wine. It has a long finish and a good balance between tannins and alcohol, but the balance would be better with more fruit concentration and acidity. The nose is attractive, but a bit simple.

  • Upon opening the tannins were quite noticeable; however with a little time in the glass they receded to the background. The floral nose was the primary aroma initially with pencil shavings appearing later. With more time some lovely meaty notes emerged. The wine's acidity was quite striking as well. A faint sweetness accompanied the finish and rounded out what was a very enjoyable experience.
