Decanted 20 minutes at restaurant: Nose: white pepper, eucalyptus, blackberry, faint notes of bell pepper and granite Mouth: big blackberry, a delightful roundness from the barrel, tannins are present, but softened slightly Finish: long, with bright fruit notes and just slightest hint of barrel vanilla.

At the pnp, heavy on the oak and tannins. Needed about 60 min of air to come around. Got even better at 2 hours. Quality cab fruit, briar, earthy mushrooms. It evolved into quite the wine and went perfectly with a meat lovers pizza.......

Decanted for 1 hour. Absolutely wonderful. Very concentrated with hints of cherry, vanilla, pepper and a long finish. Soft on the palate. This bottle is significantly better than the one I opened about a year ago. Can’t wait to open up another bottle!
During PNV week, tasting of the 10 cs lots hosted by Whitehall Lane, nice opportunity to taste their finished wines. Last wine tasted from their flight
Ripe and lush nose - dark fruits, vanilla, oak....Palate repeats dark fruit flavors with baking spice. Long finish. More ready now than most of the 2012s I have had, seems to have a good arc in front of it if you want to cellar. Nice stuff...

This is a lush wine right out of the bottle. Dark fruit, mint, spice and some vanilla on the nose. Incredibly well balanced on the palate with bursting dark fruit but enough acidity and tannin to make it a good food wine. Long pleasant finish dominated by mint and eucalyptus. I know they say that this wind should wait, but I found it to be showing well right now with no decant. I had this with chicken Parmesana and it did not overpower.

Big cassis driven wine...fruit dominates but it stops short of being
a jammy fruit bomb....very good Cabernet

Stock standard high quality masculine Napa Valley Cabernet. Which is absolutely a good thing.

Good solid cab. Seemed to lose a little as the night went on though.

Opened three hours before dinner. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, plums, fig, cedar and a hint of spice. A long smooth finish.

Ripe and spicy, really good Rutherford Cabernet. Intense, with good structure and power, balanced though.
