Pop and pour, no decant. It's pretty good although might be on the down side of the hill. Leather and savory flavors on the nose. On the palate, savory flavors dominate the fruits. The fruits, mainly cherry with hints of stew plum still come through. The finish is medium long.

Wine has been cellared at 60 degrees and 55% humidity since purchased in 2017. Decanted for 1.5 hours and served with grilled ribeye. Very nice for price paid. Classic Brunello profile with good fruit and soft tannins. Plan to consume other bottle soon.

I was surprised to find this was better than the last time I tasted this wine. This time it was not so thin or hot. Some medicinal flavors, cherry, and a bit of fruit. The odd nutty flavor was gone. Maybe last bottle was somewhat flawed. I'd still say this is not an exceptional wine, particularly given other 2010s in Montalcino, but it is good. Wish I had another bottle to see if it gets better...

Hard to rate... somewhat thin and hot. Some nutty flavors. I really cannot tell if this is going to get better or not. It could as flavors seemed to even out after being open for a day, but it could just stay like this.

Rich, ripe and earthy with a lush texture, good acidity and plenty of depth. Dried cherries dominate the flavors. Nothing special and not a lot of complexity, but has good typicity and is a solid, enjoyable wine with a great QPR.

Atypical Brunello on day 1, but still enjoyable. More typical on day 2. Decent qpr
