PnP Dark red fruit and fresh tobacco on the nose with just a slight hint of toasty oak. Pure silk on the palate bursting with fruit and intensity. It is medium to full body with medium acidity and strong tannin. This wine is a powerhouse that is still drinking well. The tannin may never fully integrate so enjoy now and over the next 10+ years with a steak!

Brilliant deep blood red in the glass. The nose is pure cassis, vanilla, black cherry and black licorice. In the mouth it’s fully integrated. Full body, moderate acidity, and light chalky tannin. This is fantastic. A pleasure to drink now and likely 10+ years of enjoyment.

Fully agree with recent reviews. Powerful red and black fruit on the nose. A touch of graphite, wet stone, baking spice and tobacco. Perfectly integrated on the palate. Tannins are fully refined and sweet. This wine is peaking!

This wine was superb, dark garnet colored, medium full bodied, elegant, polished and balanced, nearly flawless concentrated blackberry and black currant fruits with a symphony of seamlessly integrated flavor notes of mocha chocolate, vanilla, hints of licorice, violet, spice, tobacco leaf and black olive, turning to smooth velvety mouthfeel and silky tannins on a long sensual finish. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2020/09/spectacular-wine-cheese-pairing.html

This is an impressive wine as it should be for the price. Still plenty of dark fruit the attack and mid palate with fairly strong tannins. This wine can last at least 4-5 more peak years although my cork disintegrated when I opened this wine and had to strain it out of the bottle. Some tobacco and wood notes on the mid palate and a long finish and complex wine.

I always loved this vintage, and this particular wine is a fantastic example. This still has a core beautiful dark fruit. Secondary characteristics starting to show with tobacco and cedar. Very complex and long finish. One of the best wines of the year for me. I think this could have gone another 10 years well stored.

Cork crumbled while attempting to remove, had to strain wine out of bottle. This is still stellar. This bottle seemed to drink a little younger than the last couple. Probably 2-3 years left at peak based on this one.

Very similar to last bottle. In a slightly mellow state, fruit isn't dominant any more but is still plentiful. Still drinks great, but would still suggest finishing these within the next year or so. If you have a magnum....lucky you, can wait much longer!!!!

Still an outstanding cab, but maybe just a slight cut below our bottle from six months ago. The big fruit is mellowing slightly. I would drink these up this year and maybe next.

Unbelievably great wine. Drinking at its absolute peak right now. Does not need a long decant, you can enjoy this one soon after opening. Still has plenty of fruit in it, probably a year or two away from having that fruit start fading a little.

Dark ruby color with the characteristic loamy aroma and herbal undertones. Mostly dark berry and slight mocha taste. Long finish. Hitting a sweet spot.

This was a massive, almost sweet wine on release, and has really toned down over the years. Color still dark, almost purple. Nicely balanced, creamy texture. Has lost some of it's wow factor, though. Drink now.

Big bold wine with dark fruits such as blackberry and currant. Also just a bit of cola and cinnamon as well. Complex palate still with some tannins. Long finish. My last bottle but this could easily still age for another 5 or more years.

Tasted at winery – deep ruby, clear. Complex nose of blackberry, black currant, roasted meat, floral, ripe raspberries, dried strawberries and some spice. On the palate, layers of black and red fruits with underlying green notes. Medium to full body, medium acidity, firm palate-gripping tannins and a long finish. Needs time. Excellent. 92+

Outstanding. Elegant and polished. Put on weight with time in the decanter. Nice red and black fruits. Loads of toasty mocha, baking spices, and caramel. Very well balanced. Great now, and I think it will age well too.

Gorgeous aromas of dried flowers mocha and licorice. Flavors extend to the juicy midpalate. lively acidity buffers large tannins. With air softens and becomes very elegant. I love these guys.

Really coming together as a mature wine. Velvety tannins, slight taste of mocha, but a pretty seamless cab. Enjoy.

WCC 2004 California Cab Blind Tasting (Provence Restaurant, Albany, NY): Huge thick black nose. Thick and silky with a fabulous richness. What a knockout! I would love to drink this whole bottle with a steak! My #1 WOTN. Tied for group #3 WOTN.
