On the palate, it is a precise and pleasant wine with masterfully integrated woodiness. The juice has very pleasant floral flavors. Beautiful wine, very well balanced which leads us to a spicy finish.
Beautiful Chambolle village even if I think the Cathiard style can divide on this appellation. The wood is perfectly managed, of course, but it is a style that suits Vosne more in my opinion.

Two weeks in France; 4/12/2024-4/24/2024: Was singing immediately after pop and pour. Explosive nose of cherries and rose petals, silky and sensual palate of dark red fruit. Not the most complex, but so hedonistic and pleasurable. Agree with Benoit’s comment that the oak spice was more Vosne than Chambolle, would peg it as an excellent village-level wine.

Spicy and floral nose. More red fruited than I remember the last bottle being, this has lovely berry and cherry notes. Elegant and silky. This is lovely. For me this producer often has a somewhat strong signature (which I like very much) but this shows just as “Chambolle” as it does Cathiard.

Took a while to open up. Quite tight and muted from the bottle after a pop and pour. Much better after an hour or so in the decanter. Then it started to give more floral and perfume notes. Quite elegant and light with some dark cherries. The palate was much better than the nose.
Definitely not worth todays price point.

Bright and lively. Potpourri on the nose, ever so slight tannins and a package full of berries with the unmistakable suggestion of pheromones now and then. Not as magical as the 2015 but still a special sexy wine

PnP'ed at a dinner. This was definitely a still-improving (w/ cellar time/age) wine. My 3rd-btl, with each experience being better (than the prior). Still a tad "rigid" & restrained when poured, but opened up gradually with more air in the glass. More in the "black-fruit" spectrum initially, but some red-fruits started showing after a few hours. Got prettier & silkier thr' the evening, with minerality also getting more pronounced. Will check in on the rest of them further down the road... Also did a wine-searcher price-check, and shocked at how much the price has escalated since, and especially for more recent vintages!

Espresso and earth on the nose. Palate is silky and with air things become lively and some red fruits start to show up. This is already very pleasurable but really needs some additional age.

More élégant than the Vosnes village tasted from a glass given by the table next to us. The Vosnes was more open and more muscular but this had more finesse. Lovely red fruited intensity. Balance and poise. Very long

Explosive nose of espresso, black fruits and earth. Layered palate with a deep core of fruit, velvety tannins and excellent concentration. A real joy to taste and already delivering so much pleasure!

This was much more enjoyable than the '14 Vosne Village. Dark berries with a slight floral note. Good purity and lift, much better than the Vosne Village. Should improve (gain complexity) as it ages...

SLDS December 2016: Smoke, black cherry, redcurrant, spice and roses. Stylish on the palate, with pristine Red fruit and great lift. Very pretty and ready to approach early in its life. Very much in line with the house style.

Approachable with bright purple and red fruit. Good precision along with elegant style. The sweetness was precise.

Chalky, very pure, very open, 2014 speaks; so friendly Pinot-feel here, very sexy, very Chambolle.

Limited note as I was half in the bag. Rich and velvety with good berry fruit, hints of earth.

Nicely lean Chambolle, precise wine, very dry but not drying, elegant. Would give it another 2-3 years before popping corks.

Red and blackberry; unsurprisingly fruit forward, approachable and easy but still with some structure. Good.
