Decent, pleasant Oregon pinot. While it's not stunning it's fine for the price. Starting to be over the hill now; I bet it was significantly better a couple of years go.

Served with grilled salmon after double decanting. Cherries, berries, and noticeable fruit acid in the nose and initial taste. Relatively short finish. This is a very good, relatively low priced, entry level Oregon Pinot Noir that can be enjoyed by itself or with food.

Wonderful expression of Oregon Pinot Noir. Black raspberries, cherries, cola, and cranberries leap from the glass. Opens up beautifully on the palate. The flavors show perfect harmony between weight, volume, and richness while notes of brown sugar and oak spice provide nuance, depth, and complexity. Succulent dark berry fruit resonates long after the last sip. Good QPR too.

An extraordinary Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. Incredible complexity of flavors that include well balanced fruits and some underlying acidity. It reminded us why we love Oregon Pinots when they are good! It is drinking beautifully now.

After tasting the 2014 a number of times since release, it is surprising just how quickly this wine is evolving and how ripe it is now. Sweet cranberry jam, rose, and dark cherry saturated the palate. The finish was long and sappy, with subtle caramel notes and silky tannins.
Not bad on its own, at least for a glass or two. Too sweet and ripe for the dinner table.

Almost always a good value and nice wine no matter the vintage, and this was no exception. Nothing special, but with somewhat surprisingly rich flavors of dark cherry, earth and spice. Medium body, nice balance, soft and smooth, but not syrupy. One of the better generic Willamette Valley pinots. 89-90

The nose brings cranberries, sour cherries, cherry cola, and leather. The palate is consistent with the nose and is primarily fruit with some light tannins and leather notes. Full-bodied and long finish. This is a relatively hearty Pinot Noir and an excellent wine. This is a fine example of Oregon Pinot Noir.

Bottle purchase for a group lunch. Very well made light, fruit forward pinot noir. Aromas and flavors tended toward spicy raspberry, juicy strawberry and some light earth tones. Worked perfectly with a variety of different entrees. Balanced acid and fruit; medium finish.

Brought to a dinner and shared with the group. No formal notes taken, but off memory this was a very drinkable pinot. Great fruit and nice acidity. Maybe not the most cerebral wine, but decent complexity for the price. This is a crowd pleaser, good for a group with both newbies and snobs.

Similar impressions to SMPhelps note from 3/5/17, though would add this started off somewhat muted with only tart red fruits coming through and needed air before it improved. Would give it a quick decant before drinking.
Score based on end of night rather than first taste.

Medium(-) ruby-crimson, fast-moving legs @13.5% abv. Medium(-) aromas of underbrush, tobacco, nose never opened up. Dry, medium-medium(+) acidity, medium alcohol, medium(-) tannin and medium(-)-medium body. Red fruit driven palate, red berry, cherry, sour cherry with savory and some spicy notes. Balanced, linear, not very compelx. Good length with almost sweet and spicy finish during which tannins and tart acidity shine through. Elegant and easy drinking.

This was the third bottle I've had of this and it is definitely getting better with more time in the bottle. A year ago the wine was a little thin but it has fleshed out with nice cherry and black fruit flavors along with subtle baking spices. A nice qpr.

Decanted for over an hour. A complex nose of red and black fruits - progressing from ripe red cherries to prune tart; with cinnamon, vanilla, even a hint of Maraschino cherry. Savory fruit in a nimble-enough medium weight body, with balanced acidity most notable on the finish. Great qpr, loved it with the turkey.

With its broad array of origins and clones, this Pinot noir displays aromas of candied cherry, pomegranate and raspberry on the nose and the palate as well as a light touch of nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice. True to our house style, it is elegantly textured with seamlessly integrated, silky, polished tannins. Pair it with salmon, ahi, veal, pork, duck, beef or hearty vegetarian entrees.

Nose: floral and high toned red, tart fruits of cranberry and huckleberries. Distilled grape alcohol, almost Moscato Grappa-like. Palate: medium bodied, smooth but rigid barrel and skin tannins and a sweet/sour tartness. Flavors are big on rose water, tart cherries, tar, smoke, saline and Oyster mushroom. Overall a pretty and refined wine that could use another 1-3 years in the cellar. If drinking now give it a 2 hour decant.

Oregon Pinot Noir (Part 2): Deep ruby color. A saucy cherry nose with bright raspberry, wet earth, cinnamon and clove, violets. Juicy texture on the palate, smooth but structured tannins and medium acidity. Plump black cherries, juicy raspberries and tart plums. I get clove, leather, roses and violets, some black tea, not to mention a thread of minerals and crushed rocks that strings this wine together. Even in the entry level category, Adelsheim nails it. Fun now but it actually has the structure to improve for a few years.
