This is very Volnay like with restrained fruit buttressed by compelling mineral & spice notes. Enticing aromas. My last of 2 and a notch up from the 1st btl 4yrs ago. In the window but no rush. Gave it a 3hr slow--ox in Brug glasses & btl. A modeat 12.5% alc.

Really aromatic upon first pour, concentrated boysenberry fruit with a red cherry undertone. A bit darker than other vintages but well restrained in typical Lafarge fashion. This was quite open and soft for the first couple hours but clamped down towards the end of the night. Drinking well already but plenty of upside ahead.

Drinking well. Not very complex, nor did I expect it to be, but interesting with good balance. Bought for near term waiting for better bottles to mature. Fit the bill perfectly.

A really excellent BR. This has relaxed enough to be really enjoyable now. Combination of producer and vintage produce a fresh red fruited wine with a juicy core. A little more weight and sphere here than usual. The nose is super fresh with a gorgeous raspberry profile today. The extra weight also adds a bit more textural interest than usual. Not too much of a stretch to call this one a baby Volnay. Top BR.

Didn't quite hit the mark. Glimpses of black fruit but was rather hollow, thought the fruit would be more prominent for a warmer vintage. A little rustic and lacking the class and elegance that I expected from Lafarge.
From memory: Intense nose of ripe morello cherries and plum liqueur and a bit of spices. Medium body with sweet fruit, but considerable acidity, tannins still firm, but finely grained; no rusticity. Overall this was greatly satisfying, still very much fruit dominated, only very slightly tertiary notes. Drinks very well now. Will not wait too long for my other bottles, as I would not like to loose these fantastic fruit flavours.

My goodness. So delicious. Crystal clear raspberry, violet, sous bois. Light, floral, fragrant, lifted. Perfect balance of smooth tannin. Beautiful Bourgogne rouge. Fast becoming my favorite producer in Burgundy.
Edit: drank it all by day 3. Still in great balance. The tannin is so nice. Fine and on the front of the tongue; big enough to balance the high acidity and low alcohol.

A fragrant mix of red and black cherry with savory herbs too. The same cherry on the palate with some tart cranberry appearing too. Nice mineral backbone with bright acidity all throughout. Fairly lengthy for the level. I’ve been working my way through a case since release and each bottle gets better and better.

This is really quite charming. Punches above its weight but with the trademark regional signature of delicacy; there's just the faintest hint of sous-bois on the nose with pure raspberry and strawberry. The palate is light and brisk, nice tart red fruits over silky tannins that just glide over the palate and disappear pleasantly into the ether. This would be the perfect "house" Bourgogne, if you had a really nice house.

PnP. Medium garnet. Mineral, woodsy, tart red berries on the nose. Medium- in its body; expressive initial attack. Tart, just picked red berry fruit. Gravel/sandy tannins into the finish. Medium to high in acidity.
It was very easy to finish this. Quite pretty. Slow ox with the bottle open and enjoyed over 4+ hours. Just got better and better.

Red fruited, floral and with some spice on the nose. It's lithe, barely mid weighted and graceful, carrying its subtle power with a poise and sense of weightless intensity. This has terrific depth for its pedigree. I love how the richness of the vintage plays lifts this wine. More red fruits, some pastille, more florals and terrific length. Chalky and perfumed. Drinks like a very good villages wine.

Bourgogne 2015: Bouteille fatiguée je crois. Nez qui tire sur le gamay, beaucoup d'arômes de champignons en bouche, des notes d'écorce d'orange. Le vin est plus simple et moins frais que la dernière bouteille bue.

Bright ruby red, raspberry and strawberry jam galore but little in the way of complexity and somewhat limp structure. Good to quaff entry level Bourgogne rouge that was unexpectedly more new world in character than old.

Black and red cherry with earth and woodsy spice hints. Rich without coming across as too ripe, good+ weight and length for its level. An excellent Bourgogne. Probably better in another year or two.

While perhaps lacking a bit of top producer complexity this is textbook red burgundy. Weightless, balanced red fruit, spice, mineral with spicy earthy nose. 89+. You'll have a very difficult time drinking PN this good from domestic producers for $30 flat. 12.5% alc keeps this real and pure.

We adore Burgundy. This was our first experience with Lafarge and it was singularly unimpressive. Have had much better Bourgogne Rouge from this vintage for much less.
Really love Lafarge in warm vintages, and this Bourgogne shows why. Plenty of ripe red fruit to accompany the usual Lafarge levels of tannin, acidity, and precision, even in this more humble, straightforward bottling. Just some delicious, classically proportioned Burg that's really great for the dinner table.

Family Dinner - International Pinot (Ekenhov): Elegant. Silky smooth. Quite sexy, beautifull fruit: strawberries, some boysenberries. Just a hint of vanilla. Not much tannins. Good acidity and minerality. Very good lengt. Nice! No obvious need of cellaring, even though it won't hurt.
