Drank from Bin East 21. Hint of citrus, vanilla and spice on nose. Medium yellow. Tart citrus presentation then dry chalk finish. Little fruit. Past prime. 3/10.

Pale straw color. Fresh nose of tropical fruit and citrus w/ some grass. Crisp with nice acidity, lots of tropical fruit and lemon. Refreshing. For those who enjoy a NZ Sauvignon Blanc profile, this is a great value for the money.

This does what it says on the tin. It is a tasty quaffing Sauvignon Blanc! It has fullish aromas of guava, lemons, minerals, veggies, stone fruits and lime. Its medium bodied dry linearish palate has the same unfruity and slightly salty flavours, lovely acidity and ends medium long. Delicious! 13%. Serve it chilled and drink it on the terrace.

Reasonably priced sauvignon blanc from NZ. Pale gold/green hue in the glass leading to flavors of grapefruit, grass, lemon, lime and peach. Acidic, dry and clean. Texture shows an oily minerality and saltiness that seems to be a trait of SBs from this area. Excellent value and should be very enjoyable for a couple more years.

Pale, golden in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of citrus notes of lemon zest, grapefruit & guava, some floral notes, with hints of grassiness, gooseberries & minerals. Light bodied with a good concentration of smooth textured & well balanced, ripe fruit flavors of lemons/limes, grapefruit & apples with a hint of minerals. Lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present. A very nice & enjoyable daily quaffer with a good QPR.
Exactly what you would expect from a nz sauvignon blanc. Fruit and slight hints of oak. Nice finish, easy to drink and good pqr. Ideal for a hot summer day.

Thids has in the past been one of my favorite low price SBs. Sadly this release has lost the character that set it apart. Some SB character which is appealling but the base is flabby and fat which diminishes its appeal.

This is a hidden gem in the world of NZ Sauv. Blancs or at least it was to me. Bargain beauty. The nose is full of fruit, passion fruit, Kafir limes, oranges, and limestone. It's crisp, minerally, acidic and dry. If you like dry Rieseling I recommend this. The palate add's onto the nose with lemon, bergamot tea, and peach. I paired it with garlic butter shrimp with a lemon pepper papperdelle pasta and it was spectacular. The only thing that would have made this better would be eating outside on warm sunny afternoon. Served chilled at 53F

From memory, two days later: It's been a long time since I've had Oyster Bay, but I'm glad to see this massive-production wine is still providing great value for money. Tastes like a stereotypical NZ Sauvignon Blanc with no special features, but no rough edges either, and good juicy acidity, which at this price is not too common. $9

P: Med, poss MF, body; Rndish entry with almost swtish frt & a slight spritz; Balanced, lingering, slightly tangy, VERY slightly swt finish. Very pleasant & could well improve for 6 mos or so. 90 pts WE [This vendor's $8.95 seems about as good as one will find!]

Crisp and refreshing, with grassy notes of grapefruit, guava, and lime blossom. It's not showing much complexity now due to its infancy, but its tasty, tensile, and vibrant, showing green apricots on the vivid finish.

Typical nose, if a little muted. Palate was simple, if a little too basic. Came across as flat fruit lacking zest and overall concentration.
Have had Oyster Bay savvys within year of release and found them too young - they need at least 6-12 months on them for something a bit more to develop.
