Brief XMAS Note - Lovely and bucks the conception of a 15 being soft, solar or what ever you don't like about global warming in relation to proper Chablis. Great spine of minerals and a touch of celery salt. Excellent.

PnP. Light greenish gold. Classic nose of sea air and citrus though a bit richer than typical. Beautiful balance on the palate with high acidity but the warmth of the vintage showing through on the finish. I often prefer this to Les Clos from Fevre because of the exotic character. Drinking pretty well but will keep for up to 5 years.

Monthly Tasting Group: Blind Worldwide Chardonnay (COV, Edina, MN): Glad to get a small taste at the end of the night - almost biting acidity which seemed atypical for '15, tart lemon-lime, tart grapefruit, firm cut, bold and energetic, long. Very good, and seemed suprisingly youthful to me.

I am always particularly impressed by white wines that show well from hot vintages like 2015, and this is a nice example. Reserved at the open, good white fruit notes. Powerful and concentrated fruit, mineral-driven medium plus weight with nice minerality.

Quite an amazing showing for this Fevre GC, taking a quality but very round vintage such as 2015 and molding a pure, classic specimen of Chablis goodness. Flint and ocean mist play wonderfully off some light citrus skin fruit with that lovely floral (iris) core that I often get from the BCB Grand Cru bottling. Perhaps the only vintage giveaway is the acidity is a touch lower than the powerhouse 2014, but I think all that means is it will peek sooner and one to enjoy with absolute pleasure today.

Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent light gold -classic Chablis ocean citrus mineral -med/med+ acidity, med weight sappy concentration gives abundant intensity while retaining a certain softness faded grapefruit with some minerality, mild bitter note on finish -less tropical and more classic than the '16 tasted the other day, very good now and still some upside

Very Chablis with its nose of seaspray, chalk, mint and citrus. It is deep, voluminous and detailed, possessing excellent richness and cut. The finish is loaded with chalky dry extract and it is really long. Drinking well but so much more in reserve. Sealed with Diam and absolutely fresh as a daisy.

Klar, strågul. Kalk, lys sitrus og hint av fennikel og peppermynte på nese. Fokusert, fast og intens frukt med god konsentrasjon og sval fruktsødme. Frisk, spisset syre. Tørr utgang med utpreget, saltaktig mineralitet. Flott lengde. Fersk.

Pale straw colour. Looks older than it is. This tastes more like burgundy 'proper' than Chablis. Great fruit, with a lovely round mouth feel and a long finish. Not chalky etc but Indian spice and mineral. All very forward and extremely drinkable. This Will only get better with some age. Drank at WC.

Floral, red apple and salty sea, on the palate great balance and complexity, white pepper and lemon, aftertaste of lime and flint. Great stuff 👍

Burgundy White Pairing BYO Dinner (Burlamacco Ristorante): Pale lemon, silvery hue, and starbright. High acid whilst mostly soft, with lemon zest. The acids seem persistent even till the back and finish. Good freshness

Fuller bodied and riper than other vintages but still screams Chablis pureness. Delicious

Some Wines from the 2018 La Paulée Grand Tasting of 2015 Burgundy (The Fairmont, San Francisco): Also more apple than citrus, although here on the greener side. Nice weight and glycerine, sufficient soil but it is still hard to see it as serious Chablis with acidity this low. Sadly, the best of the few 2015 Chablis I tasted today.
