Wow...what an unexpected pleasure! Bought this on a whim on the recommendation of a friendly wine merchant as a summer red and finally took a case out of the cellar and opened it with my dad. "Is it drinkable?" I asked as he gulped down his first glass only a few minutes after I had popped and poured. "It's certainly drinkable!" was the reply and wasn't he right! A kind of sooty red colour in the glass. Nose was a combination of red fruits which became more accentuated on the palate combined with a hint of leather. Far, far more complexity than I ever expected. Goes wonderfully with food or on its own. Delighted I have two cases of this.

The nose was initially obscured by reduction, and it really needed time to breath before it became interesting. Decant for at least an hour. Once it opened up, complex aromas of gentle red cherry, earth, minerality, gentle ripe rasberry, cranberry, red apple, and other red fruits. Some Brett. Animal, leather, horsehide. Medium bodied, elegant, gently textured. Minimal oak. Complex. Highly enjoyable food wine. Volcanic soils

Light-bodied and fresh, with low tannin. A little more brett compared to my previous bottle. With a bit of a chill, this went well with grilled chicken.

Wine tasting with 12 others and this was well received and everyone enjoyed it. Plenty of fruit, balanced acidity and some body. Finish was a bit short but as this will potentially last another 10 years plus plenty of time to develop. 87 points

pale red/ purple colour Red fruit, light body, clean, no oak, high acidity and has a sort of thin natural edge to it. It's a little funky It's certainly fresh but didn't do much for me

I'll get in Ben's train. Red fruit and licorice, pepper, herbs of medicine. Salt lick. I could drink this by the pound. Pungent spice to the palate. Ok, by the 2lb'er. Day 3 and chugging along. Pure red fruit, licorice, medium/- tannin that creeps up.

Like a mix of beaujolais and poulsard but with slightly more tannins. Definately a nice wine, especially for the price, but not as good as I remember the 2013 vintage of the same wine. Will probably improve with time in bottle.
