First Corton Charlemagne from de Montille and I was pretty impressed. Closed with Diam 30. Started off a bit tight with some reduction, but ripe and pure orchard fruits and minerality underneath. With air this opened more and more with ripe orchard fruit and eventually a hint of tropical fruit with mango and pineapple, but always underpinned by crushed stone and some salinity. The palate was very balanced and had lovely freshness and intensity. Probably wouldn't have guessed '15 blind given the energy. Continued to expand and develop throughout the meal. One of the better CCs I've had and certainly a solid value. I think de Montille is underrated for their whites as I've had very good examples of their Meursault Perrieres and Puligny Caillerets as well. And given the Diam closure you can probably feel somewhat safe aging this a bit as it was super fresh at 8.

Light yellow color, fresh and salty scents with hints of seashell, lemon, peach pits and melon, balanced to perfection, bright and energetic, complete, long and delicious, drinking well now, great with a variety of sushi and great in general, will keep well but drinking grandly

Domaine Montille Corton-Charlemagne 2015. Småpent, men litt tropisk og noe som skurrer litt uten at jeg kan sette fingern på det. Litt flabby munnfølelse - spriker litt i alle retninger her. Får ikke helt taket på denne. Høy konsentrasjon. Lang, dog litt slapp finish. Først etter en stund kjenner man en pen mineralitet. Kons og lengde har den, ellers var ikke dette spesielt imponerende. 88p

Pale straw. Tropical notes on the nose. Pineapple, mango, coconut, and a touch of wet rock. Focused and lovely. Rich and round on the palate where the tropical notes carry over. Juicy acidity on the back end keeps this lively. Quite nice now and will pick up more intensity in time.

My first tasting of this one. Hugely impressed. Great tension between acidity and fruit. Loads of minerality with a baked pear like flavour profile. Very very moreish. Glad I got a case of 6 from BBX.

Rik med moden sitrus, gule epler, frisk pære, gule blomster og pent integrert trevirke på duft. Middels til middels + fyldig vin med god syrestruktur. Frisk delikat frukt. Moden sitrus, lett nektar, syrlig fruktskall og lett nøttepreg. Også forførende trevirke på en lang utgang. Elegant vin med betydelig oppside. 93 poeng. For nå.

During a La Paulee walkabout tasting, so only brief impressions. Wow, this was seriously nice. Lots of deep mineralic tones, aristocratic, racey, chalky. Excellent precision. A big step up from the already good Puligny 1er Cru.

Burgundy 2015 en primeur (London): Mineral, green apples and a very high acidity. Might be good in the long run but is there enough fruit to balance the high acidity? Very appealing nonetheless but needs time to come round. 91-94 range.

A slightly floral nose and nutty palate at first
Creamier than I might've expected
As time wore on more lemon on the nose and in the mouth
Overall a much more subtle affair

Reduction aromatics, dare I say Roulot-like? Fulsome palate.
