A: Pale gold N: Pronounced nose of very ripe peach, pear, honeysuckle, rye bread, sage, wet rock, hay, P: Dry, high acid, medium alcohol, pronounced intensity, medium (+) body, medium (+) finish Furmiint is ageing beautifully. My goodness. This one has many years left to improve. Very happy. More fruit forward than it was 2 years ago. Enjoying the arrival of the first tertiaries.

THIRTY In THIRTY; 4/1/2021-4/30/2021: A: Medium lemon N: Medium (+) nose of orange, peach, honeysuckle, ginger, GUNSMOKE/FLINT dominant, rye, yeast, cream, green pepper P: Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (12%), medium body, medium (+) intensity, medium (+) finish C: Very good quality wine here. it is quite savoury but great balance of fruit and intensity and earth to acidity. Good length and intensity and some complexity here. Best furmint that I have ever had and at under $20/bottle, it has wonderful QPR.Great with food given that acidity and intensity or drink on its own. I think this is certainly suitable for ageing. I would love to revisit in 5 years but sadly, Im going to drink the bejesus out of my last bottle long before that.

Just had a quick taste. Seashells, soft waxy floral notes, white grapey, some lemon on the finish. M- acid, a bit round/soft but also it’s 5 years old and probably not meant for age. I don’t think I’ve ever had Tokaji before and I don’t know what this cost but it’s decent enough. I can see how the varietal would make good dessert wine.

Blind, I would have guessed chenin. Waxy textured, tropical fruit welded to a citric lemon core. A fair amount of floral, mineral bitterness in the mid-palate - borderline too much. Tasty but short on the finish.

What a fun wine! Loads of pineapple and tropical fruits on the nose along with chalky, slate-like minerality. Hint of petrol. The minerality is strongly carried through the palate in a way that might have a Sancerre drinker intrigued. Med+ acid. If this was served to me blind, I’d call dry riesling. An entertaining wine. Bring it to a party or the dinner table.

I preferred this on the warmer side. Colder, it had a clean, citrus quality, but warmer, there was a little more complexity and persistence. Note when warmer: Stone fruit, a little petrol, chalk, pineapple, citrus, flowers, earth on the nose. Lemon, underripe stone fruit, citrus peel, minerals, a little saline, and some wood on the palate. Tart, juicy acidity, short-ish, but pleasant finish, medium body. A nice alternative to Riesling or similar whites. But shouldn't be chilled too much. 88-89

Notes of oxidation, white blossom, green apple, lemon. Full and silky with mild acidity and a salty finish. As it warms up, it picks up more ripe fruit, like apricot and golden delicious apple.

Really nice. A great balance between crisp acidity and thicker textures with perfume-y base fougere. Complex without being difficult. Nice finish with good dry down. Lovely.

Unscrewed and poured. Tart kumquat/peach aroma. Citric flavors with elements of petrol up front. Rich dried apricot finish. Firm backbone, some complexity. Unusual, living up to its name.
The gestalt is reminiscent of Rhone viognier (but with absolutely no flabbiness) and Oregon Pinot Gris. An interesting wine and excellent QPR.

Pale straw color. Vanilla/oak and flowers on the nose. Light and crisp, almost bubbly mouthfeel. Lychee and more soft oak on the palate. Lingers a short bit and then fades to a light astringency.

Taste Whites & Rosés (San Diego Wine Co.): "Whole bunches were pressed & fermented in s/s tanks. After fermentation, racking, & sulphating, about half of the entire amount was matured in 300 l and 500 l Hungarian oak barrels (15% new)." Bottled Spring 2016, 1,200 cases imported; 13% ABV, 2.2 g/l R.S., & 5.7 g/l T.A.
N: Closed, but almost tarry aromas I can't quite place
P: Med, poss MF, body; Rndish entry with almost swtish frt & a LONG, tangy finish, though I didn't find the flavors/aromas particularly attractive. For now & through '18, I'd guess. 89 pts WE @ $17, & 88 WS, also @ $17. [Tasted @ a now out-of-stock $13.99, as of early Feb '19 wine-searcher still shows NUMEROUS U.S. sources from $15-$25.]

Extremely versatile food-wise. Drinking almost likea Riesling, with some added Furmint spice. Best enjoyed slightly chilled.
