The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It tastes like strawberry jam and red currant. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity. This is in a wonderful place right now. Wish I had more.

Garnet color, nose is mostly red fruit. Flavor palate includes rose, cherry, blackberry, and clove. Great balance with ripe tannins and a medium long finish. In a great drinking window but no rush. Did not decant

PnP with 30 mins glass time. Clear, ruby/purple. Classic CA Pinot. Med to full body, exceptional balance/integration. Black/red fruit profile. Nice long, clean finish. Perfect drinking window as I like my Pinot's aged. Nothing off. $54 winery direct.

Dark-ish pale purple; a bit muted nose at first, needed at least 30 minutes to breath. Opened up a bit over time but still way too young IMHO. Black cherry, sour cherry, hint of anise, blackberry, slight nuance of spices. Med+ concentration, compact, seamless with a moderate finish at first. Excellent with the darker copper river salmon. Expected more from this, however. Wait another 3-5 years. B&T, copper river sockeye vs. alaska King dinner.

This is a wine of such great life, zest, and purity of fruit, it makes me want to reach for another bottle. Still youthful but a wine of outstanding balance, generous fruit, tangy acidity, and a supple finish. The Eastside Road always seems to be quite flashy, which makes sense since it comes from somewhat warmer sites, and this is just phenomenal. A

Ok 91 points to agree with the crowd. Does anyone else have a slight "after taste"? Yes, a "stronger" pinot (flavor wise - especially for the Russian River area) but it matched well with the lamb! Please accept that I did enjoy this wine, but are there better,,,yes! Williams Selyem has made better pinot (in fact they could own it along with a few others if they tried harder - but I absolutely respect the FARMERS!) Drink now or within 2 years.

Beautiful wine...smooth and velvety. I’m starting to think that the Williams Selyem Wines should be set aside for at least four or five years before drinking
Just delicious. Very soft, yet full of flavor. Red fruits abound, but with a subtle sweetness that made each sip a pleasure. I would not drink this with food (other than maybe a light cheese) because this seems like one to be enjoyed by itself. Wish I had more.

Drank at Providence in LA. Just a stunning wine. Best pinot I've had in maybe forever. Great core of fruit and depth that finishes with a great mushroom note.

The bottle has been open a few days now, but is still great. Tasting today there is a dark green vege note, graphite , tobacco and some spice note - mybe cardoman?? Overall good, but think the days sitting out have teken their toll. The rating is based on the newly opened bottle, not today.

Decanted 3 hours which was huge. This wine needs 2 hour minimum decant. Tried after one hour and wine was tart, closed and one dimensional. After 2.5 hours it really opened up to reveal wonderful layers of floral notes, cherry & nice extraction and balance. Subtle Russian River fruit notes dominate. Nice Pinot but needs air to bring it out of its shell.

Pop and pour. First tasted with food (spaghetti with a sauce of chicken and tomato paste) and then on its own. Followed for about 4 hours. Dark ruby color. Nose offers some dark fruit and a floral note. Red cherries with an inviting citrus note. Shows some slight heat and a smokey note. Some red strawberries as the wine opens up. Enjoyable.

Deep ruby color with slow legs. Orange blossom, strawberry and floral notes on the nose. Dark cherry, plum and tea on the palate. Silky smooth finish for a full bodied pinot.

Splash 1 hour decant then back into the bottle. This has really come a long way in 4 months (adding weight and complexity). The nose and palate are wide open and exploding with cloves, mixed baking spice, and vanilla. Red fruit is present adding freshness but definitely in the background. Acid is here but has really dissipated.

Again drinking smooth with a very well balanced body for a pinot. I'm enjoying the depth and smokiness to the nose vs. the other fruit forward offerings I've had recently (Kosta SC, RRV, etc.).

First things first. This wine is WAY too young to drink. To make it even worse a friend of mine did a PNP. If you do open it I would decant it 3-4 hours. Very dark color, almost Syrah like. Nose is completely closed and never opened up after two hours. My friend did use an aerator.
I will not try any of my bottles for 18 months. I would give it at least a year. I think this wine could reach a 92+ score but the fruit is covered up by tannins at this point. Wine has nice balance & good acidity to hold it and try it later.

Deep earthy notes on the nose with a backdrop of floral tones. Subtle hints of sweetness on the palette with a short finish. Far superior of an effort to Kosta’s Sonoma Coast having far more complexity to it.

Medium weight fresh stawberry and minerals with some heft provided by a touch of vanilla cola. Nice but nothing exceptional and one dimensional. Pumped overnight and did not hold up turning fairly baked and pruned. Decant for 3 hours and finish on night one. Made to drink younger like in the next 5 years.

Aromatic, floral, red berries, pure fresh raspberry, strawberry, with a touch of anise and a well integrated oak. Silky texture, tangy, medium weight, with long finish. Really nice, fruity, balanced Pinot.

Williams Selyem: Similar to the Vista Verde, with a little less personality. Simple notes of red-fruit berry, cranberry, red raspberry, and vanilla-laced alcohol. Linear and youthfully astringent, but with some promise of upside after a few years in bottle. 86-88 points. Hold until 2020+.
