Bottle 1627g. Moderately intense aromas of bread and lemons. Dry, with elevated acidity, medium-bodied, 12.5°. Mousse not especially fine or persistent. Some bitter and herbal notes. Not picking up the apple peel/Mauzac aromas I enjoy in Limoux.

Fresh and fruity, green apple, grapefruit with some subtle peachy sweetness. Not a complex wine but go well with food and get a refreshment in a hot summer day.

Limoux, the birthplace of sparkling wine, is truly where it's at for bubbly value. This NV shows off that value (just $19 in Ontario) with characteristic Limoux quality, with the rustic elegance that defines the region's forays into the genre. There's too much bitterness on the palate and the fruit doesn't persist past the mid-palate through the dry finish, but the elegance really comes through in the fine, energetic mousse and in the nicely balanced (and quite complex) notes of lemon-lime, tart apple, grapefruit, pear, peach, biscuit, minerals, and vegetal greenery (including asparagus) that begin with a quiet, restrained nose and blossom in the glass.

A bit more complexity than many Cremants; biscuit, red apple, pear, a touch of peach, lemon and maybe a little hazelnut on the nose. On the palate dry with high acidity again red apple, pear, slight peach, subtle biscuit and brioche. Quite full in the mouth with a med + finish. A really nice alternative to nasty acidic supermarket Champagne and a damn site cheaper!

Primary and fruit-forward. Peachy, citrusy, some sherbet-y veneer of fizz and acid dominating the flavour profile. Somewhat enjoyable anyway if you don't analyse it too much.

A true joy, fruity with aromas of citrus and apple, powerful and lasting in taste. The carbonic acid is somewhat coarse but still acceptable. Overall a real pleasure!
Ein wahre Freude, fruchtig mit Aromen von Citrus und Apfel, kräftig und nachhaltig im Geschmack. Die Kohlensäure ist etwas grob, aber noch annehmbar. Insgesamt eine wahre Freude

Citrus, cracked wheat, and yeast aromas, with notes of tart green apples, lemons, and cream. Light on bubbles yet offers good tension, juicy acidity, and minerals on the finish. Solid aperitif.

This is a nice sparkling wine which has a really good perlage. It is very dry and elegant with hints of lemon and biscuit (brioche). Better than a lot of supermarket champagne. And much cheaper.

A nose that is citrus dominant and backed by more creamy stone fruits, the wine is elegant and well structured on the palate with vibrant acidity matched with green apple and citrus that is then tempered by brioche and peach skin flavours.
On the finish the wine is dry and precise with very good length. This is a wine that has had a lot of publicity in the last year or two, rightfully so given the price point.
{diam, 12%, A$16} Youful aromas of soft green (granny smith) apples. Gentle light-medium palate. Lively apple flavours; not much yeast/lees character, but a soft creamy texture helped by quite fine bubbles and a fresh acidic texture. Decent for the price, but not a champagne substitute by any means.

light, pale golden hue, very bright and reflective with tiny bubbles. The nose is lemony, with floral bathroom soaps and apples. Palate is full of granny smith apple with tart, crisp finish

I enjoyed this one, especially for the price. I picked up some pear but mainly stone fruits, a little powdered vanilla, caramel, and the hazelnut. I also enjoyed the acidity.

Fine bubbles, some decent acidic bite. Stone fruits, a touch sweet, not much else going on. Good for the price, but for me..boring. I preferred the Argyle. The ladies liked this a lot more than i did though, so what do i know.
