I like it, but like with the red.....I gotta wonder why these are getting the scores and generating the revenue they are? Does the Emperor have no clothes?
This was nice. Medium yellow in the glass. But a muted nose. Vanilla cream and some fern on the nose?
Palate of citrus with good acidity but a bit woody on the end. Hard for me to justify the tariff on this one.
Pristine, crisp, light and full of depths and complexities, this wine is one for the ages. Light yellow of pure intensity and clarity. The word intensity is a good one to use for the wine - jaw dropping perfume on the bouquet of white peach, nectarine, ginger extract and honey. The theme continues on the body what beautiful acidity to keep the whole thing fresh and alive. Lovely minerality and honey notes to end the show which then closes out the circle with notes of ripe citrus and honeysuckle. What a ride.
Drink now (with decanting) or 15+ years from now.

After 1/2 hour softened into a waxy and quite luscious line and length but a bit of oxidisation already - which ive found is the plague of these wines - very inconsistent. So if this was a great bottle this could be 94, 92 is looking on its good side and ignoring the ox.

Tasted side by side with Chapoutier's 2015 Chante Alouette. Very different wines. This was richer, darker yellow. Alcohol was more present but not overwhelming. Beautiful nose emerged after decanting two hours. Lemon, petrol, almond and honey. The body is fuller with a slightly oily taste than the Chapoutier with less acidity but a much longer finish. Still very young with no tertiary flavours yet evident.

Salon Focofi Paris walkabout and dinner, so no detailed tasting notes. A good rather than great wine. Good balance, not too heavy but I think I will never be a fan of Rhone blanc.

Liked it, it got better over time, but too much licorice for my taste. Pretty mineral-y. Wished it was a little smoother. Need to try a different vintage.

This is soft lush and quite tasty but lacks focus and freshness. Nice range of white rhone flavors but lacking acidity and dimension or any complexity. I would guess too hot of a vintage but I had a 2015 Guigal Ex Voto blanc a week ago that was outstanding.
Quite recognizable as a white Rhone, with the waxy richness you'd expect, though restrained compared to some others of course. The profile is complex with notes of mild oxidation, cantaloupe, bees wax, overripe pear, marshmallow, and a kiss of mint. The palate enters on the medium plus viscosity you'd expect, but with good medium acid keeping this fresh. I might expect a little more complexity with some age, though I expect the hot vintage here is contributing to the ripeness of the wine.

Mycket bättre i näsan än i munnen. A gav bara 84. 459kr på SB (75581)
A Whole Lotta Chave Hermitage (Single Blind) (Chez Kailin): 94/98/00/01/15 Flight. Nose is full of bright, fleshy, ripe white fruits with notions of minerals. Palate is rich and dense. Some caramelized marshmallow. Rich but still has freshness and lift. Fun now. My #3, Group #3.

Occidental PNs for the day: at Everest from Magnum elegant oak aromas, some spice, some of the Hanzell-Machine-Oil on the nose, but that doesn't follow to the palate. orange zest palate, fine zest, with fruit ripeness. Thanks Yooie!

Flowers and stone fruit on nose; quite heady and increasingly hedonistic as the glass warms. Very weighty and bitter on palate. Dense and creamy, with real length, but very stern at present - this is way too young and there is so much upside.

Big scaled wine, flamboyant and provocative. Marked by oak on the nose, pineapple and spices - notably curry. Fat and creamy texture, honey and beeswax. Anise, vanilla. Good underlying acidity provides freshness. Rich and already complex, but wait for this. Will be much better in 10-15 years.

SLDS Single Bottle Dinner: Yellow florals, earth, mint, wax and spices. Oily and dense on the palate, this certainly needs time to come together. Still has great length but it's not the right time to drink this.

Bordeaux 1989 (@ Monarh): In the bouquet a creamy wine with luxurious oaky flavors. On the palate creamy and round with a beautiful touch of sweetness and beautiful oak and acidity, This is a really great wine with a long future. 95+

Ample et beurré, un eu onctueux même.
Grosse matière et beaucoup de fruits
exotiques...un brin réduit mais
hyper long en finale.
