London Calling; 1/15/2020-1/17/2020 (Londres - GB): After all the amount of Armagnac of these days a glass of cognac it doesn't disturb me at all, specially after the poor wine selection, don't ask for a wine list as I did, that Gatwick Lounge N1 is offering to their selected costumers. No way just a few years ago at British airports. Only to red wines a an Ozzie SB. Britons come here to have a free basic meal, that's all. In order to final this thing, waiter offered me this cognac on the rocks. I refused so he looked me in a weird way, a mix of admiration and perplexing attitude serving it in an a wrong glass. What can we do? Better than nothing ... That's the way Iceni do. Macho, direct, elegant despite a little unbalanced. It's power resides in how it takes the was thought the oesophagus, an explicit burning land policy. Creamy texture and aromas of old wood are the highlights in the mouth and on the nose, respectively. Nice complexity but my love still is for the southern (Armagnac) or even some northern (Calvados).

Mediocre cognac, evidently sweetened and subjected to overt caramel "improvement". The result is round and smooth, but utterly lacking in freshness or complexity. With big-brand commercial cognac you get what you pay for (in my case 30 EUR / 1 litre in Duty Free). Distinctly inferior to Hennesy and Remy Martin, the two VSOP brands I have tried most recently. 82P

Despite the strong alcohol (naturally!), there are subtlety and complexity that come through. There is fruitiness in the middle-aftertaste. Very good (85.5).

Did like it, a touch sweeter than the bourbons and ryes I'm used to drinking obviously.

I like cognac and this is not bad. Slightly to moderately sweet. Delicious as a mixed drink with 7-Up. Mid to high good (84.5-85.5).
