Light yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of pear-apples with a steely, clean impression and modest acidity. Stuck at home during covid and decided to drink this up with some chicken curry and spicy carrots, both homemade, and neither with enough chile peppers. Reliably pleasant wine, if not inspiring.

Surprised at the lower ratings posted for this wine - this is a very good Californian Chardonnay and great value. Green tinged gold in the glass, a quick swirl provides roasted pineapple, ripe apricot, red apple and vanilla pod aromas along with toasty oak. The palate is quite fresh on entry, spreading out into a richly textured, creamy medium bodied wine with plenty of stone fruits, mandarin, pineapple, brown butter and brioche. Really well balanced and straight up delicious. Lots of verve and a few years of life ahead of it. Looking forward to consuming more of this.

This wine is clear with no visual evidence of fault. The wine is a deep lemon in color. The nose is composed of stewed asparagus, peaches, wet stone, a hint of bubble gum, under-ripe tomatoes (weird for a chardonnay), and freshly cut grass. The palate is unbalanced--the fruits and vegetables present in the nose are there, but they are offset by the acidity and an odd finish. Age may help. This wine is dry with medium+ acidity, medium body, and a medium finish. I'm wondering if these grapes suffered smoke taint from the wildfires of 2017.

Sat, 01/04/20, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): “The fruit is a mix of hand & machine picked that was gently pressed, settled for 24 hrs, then racked to barrel for fermentation. 15% of the lot was co-inoculated with the house strain of malolactic bacteria, then used to top the remainder of the lot during post-primary fermentation. The lees were stirred 1-2x/mo, & the wine aged for 8 mos in primarily FR with some AM oak, 17% of the oak being new. 13.5% ABV, 0.54g / 100mL T.A., & 3.67 pH;” 100,000 cases made.
P: Med, poss MF, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish oak/frt counterbalanced by an acidity which fairly elegantly keeps things in check into & through the LONG, BALANCED finish with an attractive tangy/swtness. A very nicely done example of this genre to drink now & poss through '21. My EXC-, arguably higher for QPR? 89 pts ea WS (Marcus, 7/31/19) & winealign.com (2x: 8/8/19). Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor dominated by oak with some citrus and apple notes. Little depth with a short finish. Not a wine to cellar for any time.

Notes of citrus, apple and pear, it has a medium body wit prominent oak and a touch of residual sweetness. Easy-drinking, mid-weight California Chardonnay. Not my style, but a good wine and a good value.

Pale straw color. I get scents of oak, pear, and vanilla. The taste is well balanced, with good body and a creamy finish. Pairing with garlicky hummus brings out floral notes.

Good freshness on the palate due to the great acidity. Too much oak.
Aromas of coconut, clove, tropical fruits, pineapple, vanilla, toasty.
Probably coastal, cooler climate (within California chardonnays).
OK length.
