Was not quite as impressed with the second bottle. Still solid, but not as flamboyantly fruity. Perhaps should have decanted or saved it for Day 2. Tiebreaker to come....

Same as last note... tastes great. It's a rare meritage of Zinfandel, Petit Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, and Alicante Bouschet that yields a mouthful of dark fruit on the palate and a spicy, long finish. The acid and tannins are balanced by the robust fruit. Somewhat decadent, sure, and given the high QPR, very easy to enjoy!

Central Coast Tasting (San Diego Wine Co.): 73% Zin, 9% P.S., 6% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre, 4% Grenache, & 3% Alicante Bouschet from Dusi, Dusi Paper St., & Suaret Vyds; "Fermented in s/s and small open top bins. The fruit was 100% sorted and de-stemmed. The must spent 20 days on the skins with frequent punch downs. Aged in neutral FR barriques for 18 mos." 1,834 cases
N: Slightly closed; RIPE berries, smoke
P: LM body; RNDISH entry with nice, ALMOST swtish frt off-set by some firming structure which transitions into a LONG, balanced, very, VERY slightly bitter finish with notes of swtness to the dusty tannins. NICELY done for now & through '21, I'd imagine, + could well improve through '18. 15.2% ABV; My VG+/EXC-, arguably a bit more *if* QPR is taken into account. [This vendor's $15.99 is at least $4 < anyone else currently listed on wine-searcher!]

OK, I bought 6 on sale, tried one, and bought 18 more. 'nuff said... and for those few still reading, try it! (Hint: from Paso Robles: concentrated palate of dark berries with a very full mouthfeel. That is all.)

Not the most balanced juice of all time, but a hedonistic, ripe crancherry-focused red with some excellent chocolate-tinged tannic structure. Have now had two bottles, both consumed over (not the same...as far as you know...) two days. One of the few zin-dominant blends in recent memory that almost gets better on Day 2. Honestly, reminds me a little of early Tensley or Turley. Oh wait...I'm an idiot...the winemaker is McPrice Myers...I should have picked up on the style...he knows his s**t...and warrants no comparison as he stands on his own considerable merits. We are drinking this with one of WS annual top 25 wines and it's kicking a**...definite rebuy, despite the label....

Rich, dark fruit flavors, chewy tannins. Improved with time in the glass. Delicious.

Deep ruby color. Red currant, oak and cherry on the nose. Jammy palate with mixed red/dark berry. A hint of cinnamon spice with long leathery finish.

Even better than the last note... richer taste... more purity of fruit. Less decadent, more integrated. Given the high QPR, very easy to enjoy!
