Decanted and enjoyed with a queso chicken, rice, broccoli casserole. Initially comes across as being very “grapey”, but after it’s settled, it displays perfume, earth and juicy “fruit forward” aromas and flavors. Balanced mouthfeel with the mostly deep red fruits in harmony with the acidity and mild tannin. Hefty with a medium plus texture. Satisfying finish. Had I not known the origin, I would have guessed Loire or possibly a Cote Chalonnaise Pinot. For a Village-Beaujolais, this drinks far superior to many of the “Crus” I've had over the years. Very good with a excellent QPR.

TN from memory. Bottle opened 5 hours before serving, not decanted. Needs a lot of air, but blossoms beautifully. Darker style of gamay. Shiny, very solid, concentrated, pure and balanced. Big.

Rich Garnet. Somewhat subdued nose of herbs and red berry. Bright and lively red fruit on the palette with astringent thyme on the finish. Amazing value and a Beaujolais that can hold its own with a village Burgundy. I thought the previous 2016 vintage was better.

Quite dark, medium body, for a 17 this is quite reserved and brooding, with dark, meaty fruit, bit of bright dark raspberry note, good balance, some subtle but present tannins, very tasty, could probably use a few years to come out of its shell. I really like the pure dark gamay fruit, absent any carbonic bubble gum notes. Could be mistaken for a nice village Beaune, or maybe even NSG.

I've been drinking this for a few days trying to decide where I stand on it. It seems to be showing somewhat primary and a bit clunky and heated at this time. The nose is heavy laden with iron-works, but I somehow miss the crunchy mineral depth that comes across so obviously on the Vissoux Cru bottles, at least from other vintages I've experienced (as this is my first '17). I can taste how this garnered a 93-point WA score -- it's fairly well stuffed, fruity, primary, etc. But for my palate, this seems clunky and a bit disjointed at this stage. For these reasons, I'm not super excited to pull up another glass. It does have great acidity and a lot of fine qualities. Maybe out of adolescence this will show better.

Good value. Serious BoJo. Fruity Gamay nose and exuberant fruit filled palate. Should gain point or two once it settles down. Good acidity and a medium finish.

On the fresh and fruity side of Bojo, clean red fruits but was a little light that it tasted dilute. Crowd pleaser.

Lovely aromatic red fruit on the nose, good acid balance. [Brief note from blind tasting of 2017 Beaujolais.]

This was quite good. Very juicy / grapey. This would be a crowd pleaser with the non-wine crowd.
