Medium garnet. Chocolate covered ripe cherries, cassis, raisin, herbal, pepper, smoke, vanilla, floral, mineral. Medium sweet, full body, medium plus acidity, high tannins and alcohol.

Woody notes of dark fruit, figs, tar, minerals, and spices galore. So bright and smooth, mid-to-full bodied, nicely balanced, the tasty sweetness held in check by very good acidity. Sandalwood on the long finish. Nice.

Deep dark reddish-violet in color. Fragrant & attractive nose of dark fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & dried figs with overtones of spice, floral & earthy notes, minerals, dark chocolate, spices, tar, herbs & a touch of vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, very ripe fruit flavors of blackberries, cherries, figs & raisins with spices, bittersweet cocoa, herbs & minerals. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but may benefit from another year or two of further aging.

Med dense with a great red hue. Complexed nose. Dense black fruit, BBQ meat, cassis & herb. It's heavy and lacks freshness. The spirit is neutral. Palate is very sweet and seems heavy lacking any freshness. Powerful although slightly coarse.

As with many LBV wines, this is a bargain. Not the full complexity of a vintage wine but not far off the mark. Dark berry fruit driven profile. Very good length on the finish.

Purchased for $17. Served in a Taylor's Port glass, which is a "souvenir" from our dinner there during Sao Joao in June. Don't ask me how we got this souvenir, or the other 7. The memory is a little hazy still. Hahaha. I wasn't too impressed with this. Taylor was my first "Port love". It was also the very first Port House I've ever visited in Porto, so it's a bit special. But this was a notch below what I was hoping for. Opaque purple, just about black in color. There's a weird plastic note that just doesn't seem to blow off. There's the usual notes of sweet dark kirsch, blackberry jam and vanilla. But it's all seems a bit muted, which is a shame because the flavors are nice. Not the best representation of Taylor. Grade: B

I wondered why it was on sale at $17.99 until I tried it... nothing there! A hint of port but faintly. Save your money. 2/11 Geez, three weeks later it tastes like port! A weak one, but port - 88

Bottle is open for 24 hours. Dark as ink, smells of dried strawberry and of wet stone, medium body, not overly sweet for a port, in the mouth dried strawberry and wet stone, not hot/spirituous, in the aftertaste dried strawberry, wet stone and a little bit of acidity, good length (30 sec), good filtered LBV, but nothing special.

Deep purple with notes of cherry candycane, prunes, figs, spice and tobacco. Onctuous body with sweetness balanced by a medium high acidity and tannins. On the palate, dried figs, cherries, prunes, some cinnamon and a long finish with a bit of licorice.

Expressive nose of Violets, ripe Black plum, alcohol with spicy lift. Palate could almost pass as a Grahams with Rounded, Sweet and Dense dark upfront fruit, good acidity helps the transition away from this into a linier, spicy, tannicly structured finish. Hints of licorice and flash of cocoa powder too. One of the best LVB’s I’ve had over the past decade. Enjoyed with a Romeo y Julieta Churchills…Na zdrowie.

Medium purple colour. Jammed black cherries, blueberries and boysenberries on the nose. Also some spicy notes and maybe a touch of graphite. Same fruit characters on the nose, spiciness comes around to soft cinnamon, and fresh black pepper. Graphite also notable on the taste. Very fruit-forward ruby, still young. Bought 2 bottles, gonna pop another in the reserve and see how it turns out in 7-12 years.

Appearance: Deep ruby (but on the lower end of the scale)
Nose: Medium intensity aromas of high, harsh alcohol, blackberry, blackberry jam, plumbs, stewed plumbs, redcurrant, gravel
Palate: Sweet, high alcohol, medium, soft tannins, medium acidity, medium(+) body, medium flavor intensity and medium finish. Flavors of blackberry, blackberry jam, plumbs, gravel, and redcurrents.
Overall: Wine has good flavor concentration (although not too complex-- shows basically primary fruit flavors) but it is not in balance due to the harsh alcohol which is not well integrated with the rest of the wine, and dominates the other aspects of the wine. Its a Good wine which is not suitable for further ageing.

Still young, glass staining, bright red rim, black centre, no sediment. 50cl bottle attractively decanter like. Spirit dominates the nose, sweetness the initial taste, then spirit kicks in again before you get the delicious plum and spice. Lingers as a gently glowing mouthful of fruit for minutes. Better that a straight Ruby. Very enjoyable, if still rough at the edges. Don’t know how it would age. Suspect it would improve for a few years but would then lose it’s charm, which is the youthful brashness. Will buy two more to try in 2023 and 2026 to test the theory. Two weeks later, tasted alongside Penfolds 10 Year Old Tawny. Taylors has more character (plums and spice) and is leaner vs sweetness and enjoyable baked quality in the Penfolds. Very different.

Very nicely fruited and balanced. Had on two occasions. Fresh, elegant, with dark fruits and plums

Again, as with the 2015, I find this young, winey, Blackberry led Port has a little something of a Crozes-Hermitage about it.
Young, simple, and enjoyable. Great QPR.
