13% alcohol. Short cork completely free of defect (to the point of suggesting that it is synthetic, but no it is natural cork of very high quality). Light translucent cranberry juice colour. Reduced nose from the neck of the bottle, but this dissipates quickly after pouring; pure redcurrant aromas after that, very enticing. The mouth is similarly red fruited and endowed with considerable acidity bordering on sharpness. I am probably less enthused by this wine than I used to be, as there is no denying its one-dimensional aspect; can't complain though, it is only a Beaujolais Villages after all and the fruit is very pure. Probably a wine to buy in riper vintages unless you are after high acidity.

Two years since my first bottle. Decanted and aerated 30 minutes before dinner. On day 1: opening up slowly; dark core; gamey, bretty, ripe red fruits, sappy, some tannins, spicy finish. Much more flavor than aroma. On day 2: more brett, slight fizz, borderline off, almost no aroma, a real step backwards since the previous bottle.

13% alcohol. Very short cork. Pale ruby translucent colour. The nose is enchanting with wild red berries and pretty good depth; a fleeting (fresh) eggy suggestion is the only reminder of the "nature" obedience of the house (apart from the exuberant fruit, that is). The mouth has pure unbridled fruit and it finishes with refreshing but not piercing acidity; some amylic notes, but they do not dominate. The balance is superb, and the wine is irresistible. This wine is hard to beat in the fragrant joyous fruity school of Beaujolais. Coming after an uncharacteristically dumb bottle of Bouland's Chiroubles, the contrast could not be more stark. A repeat purchase. PS: four days later, under Repour and in the fridge, the second half of the bottle is in pretty good condition. Maybe the nose is slightly dulled, but the mouth is very much alive and kicking. A success for Repour, I think.

13% alcohol. Very short cork of good quality. The colour is light and bright but not entirely limpid. Very attractive intensely fruity nose with redcurrant and cranberry; some pleasant candied aspect too, relating to carbonic maceration I believe. As fragrant a nose of Gamay as you are ever likely to get. The mouth is possibly slightly behind because the acidity is on the high side; that being said, the flavours are consistent with what the nose announces. Somewhat unbalanced, yet irresistible.

13% alcohol. The cork is short but dense. Very light colour, and probably not entirely limpid. The nose is intoxicating, with redcurrant, cranberry, and the amylic notes characteristic of carbonic maceration. The mouth is in the same vein, with a fresh fruit juice aspect. Not a lot of depth or complexity but plenty of charm and pretty good length; irresistible as a result (in the right context). A summer wine par excellence. A repeat purchase.

13% alcohol. Short cork, not terribly dense but with no wine penetration. Bright light colour evoking cranberry juice. The nose is intensely fruity, with raspberry and redcurrant. The mouth is nearly as good, again very fruity and uplifting. On the negative side, there is probably some volatile acidity here, although not to a disturbing extent, and there is an amylic note in the final stage (again not overwhelming). In spite of these reservations, I cannot help being swept off my feet by the overall package, which has an irresistible charm. I enjoyed this much more than Foillard's Morgon of the same vintage that I had last week. A repeat purchase.

13% alcohol. Very short dense cork. Pale ruby colour. Very fragrant aromatic nose with an abundance of red berries. There are also traces of eggy aromas at some stage, but they are fleeting enough to pose no problem. Similarly assertive in the mouth, very vibrant with a winning juicy quality and a notable purity of fruit. Significant acidity (enough to stop me having this two days in a row). A textbook Beaujolais of the "vin nature" school, and a success of its type. A repeat purchase.

88 today but with 92 potential. Given the impressive raw material in the glass I will treat my other bottle like a cru and keep it for a few years. For now, this is a big but disjointed wine with a myriad of aromas and flavors, some odd, with a great underlying structure and delineation, and an astringent and mineral finish. Cranberry and beetroot predominate.

I was taken in by the 2015 version which carried some real omph and William Kelly's poetic tasting note with accompanying 93 point score which makes me think he tasted a different wine! I found it light-bodied and somewhat astringent, none of the generous fruit characteristics of the 2015 version. Disappointing..

Still all youthful with aromas of cranberries and sour cherries, beetroot and wet granite. Lean in body yet flavourwise pretty intense with high acidity and above-average alcohol (13%). A serious villages that deserves another year of waiting at least, and should keep and develop well for estimatedly five to seven years.

Corked. My sixth corked bottle overall in over 600 tasting notes, so I am just under the 1% threshold, which is quite tolerable.
