Another very pretty botle of this. Excellent QPR in the context of white Burgundy. I really like these wines from Heritiers du Comte Lafon from the Maconnais a lot.

Golden color and rich apple and hazelnut on the nose. Very creamy and even though medium weight, has a long persistence and clean finish. Has apples and some citrus and minerality at the finish. Can go longer for sure, but quite good right now so I have a hard time aging these since there are consistsent new one's to replace these every year.

My second bottle of this and it‘s showing a little more „tamed“, less exotic in its flavor profile. There is beautiful lemon curd, some lemon zest too, also some buttery notes, some chalky minerality, sweet spices, less exotic than last time. It‘s medium-full bodied, with very good persistence especially considering the moderate price class, it has medium+ acidity providing some freshness too. Good finish with plenty of stuffing. An excellent value in white Burgundy as always. (91+)

I liked this very much. It tastes substantial, like something that could cost more. It has a little bit of country "graininess" - in other words, not ultra refined as some Burgundies can be. However, it is a well-made wine and I hope to buy more someday.

Slightly tropical nose of burnt pineapple, orange rind, pear. I found this wine to be more fruit than mineral, but the acid was there and makes this an easy going but elegant wine. Well balanced, good acidity and structure throughout. Not crazy length but solid. Would buy again.

Oak, green pear and minerals in the nose which carries into the palate, with a nice long smooth finish that slightly tart and perhaps my least favorite part. Quite enjoyable and great value.

Very good. Slight floral/tropical nose. Plush and mineral in the mouth with a well-judged bead of acidity. Hints of white fruit and pith, but so well balanced. An amazing wine at this price.

Somewhat disappointed as previous btls of other cuvees have always been better then expected for a $30 white Burg. Glad I only grabbed one of this cuvee. Docile and need of s bit more energy & citrus. More stone fruit dominated and a little light on minerality to boot. Paid $30 drank like $12ish.

Lighter golden/greenish color. Pretty explosive notes of ripe exotic fruit, white flowers, chalky minerality, also some spices and lemon curd. It‘s medium-full bodied, with medium+ acidity and good length. A wine that represents an excellent value in white Burgundy and can probably age for a few years too.

Smokey pineapple and other tropical notes; smoke blew off later. The palate is rich pineapple with nice length and a tingle on the finish. Well balanced with a nice illusion is sweetness from the tropical fruitiness.

Celebrating my 100th White Maconnais review with this beauty! ????????
Medium lemon colour. Medium and developing nose with ripe yellow apples, ripe lemon, peach, toast, butter, charred wood and flint. Medium taste of ripe yellow apples, peach, ripe lemon, toast, charred wood, butter, vanilla and flint. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Vire-Clessé that has matured well. Needed an hour to open. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with fish or shellfish.

I should have held this longer. Solid, but not showing its best.

Great quaff at $30 a bottle. Just a well balanced and well made wine that drinks better than its humble appellation
