Disappointed with the RS/acid balance in this wine. The lack of acidity makes it flabby and, frankly, pretty boring. I seriously doubt it'll make old bones. Disappointed 😞.
Paired with a lovely Indian meal. Everything at table sung with lively contrast. Not this Riesling.

Notes of mandarin orange, bartlett pear, cut flowers and honey commingle on a bed of electric acidity. A peppery note emerges late and lingers on the medium-long finish. An outstanding Kabinett for the price.

Pale straw color. Flinty nose. Flavourful fruit profile with residual sweetness. Very enjoyable served well-chilled and was a good pairing with steamed spotted prawns.

Typical light nose for young Mosel Kabinetts. WS is usually a bit closed and reserved in the youth but opens up later on to show its huge potential. This one lacks a bit of acidity and tension on the palate. Therefore not for the long run (drink before 2025). Nevertheless enjoyed it.

Straw. This needs some minutes in the glass to blossom, but then it shows spectacular scents and flavors of slate, mirabelle, pear, gooseberry (I mistaken it for the veldenzer elisenberg because of that), brown sugar hints and citrus. On the palate the obvious sweetness is easily balanced out by laserlike acidity. If you don't like sweetness in a wine, you shouldn't drink young off-dry riesling of course, but that is nothing the wine should be blamed for. 5/12/17/10. 93-95 points from the WA and 91+ from MFW. I more agree with Stephan Reinhardt. -2050, but there is a risk that it will shut down in the next time imho.

Aromatically pretty standard for a young Mosel riesling. Some decent fruit and minerality in the mid-palate, but overall the structure is a little off: not enough acid to balance out the high level of residual sugar. It comes across a tad flabby in the mouth, and there is some bitterness on the finish. Not my favorite example of a Mosel Kabinett.

Nose of slate, white flowers. Enough acid to carry the small amount of residual sugar, but only just. Light bodied. Palate is stone fruit, slight herbal note, and a hint of lemon.

Pale straw hue. Slight citrus nose. A mix of apple, pear, apricot and nice twinge of honey. Dry. Light-medium bodied. Very much enjoyed this bottle.

Corked bottle; dead nose. Cling film treatment revived the wine to a drinkable level but unfair to judge based on this.
