Best bottle (Weindorf Kirchheim): Glass: Gabriel Standard Popped and poured. Clear, pale yellow color. A bit muted nose. On the palate fine, elegant, very chalky, nice energy, beautiful balance, precise and focused, juicy. Medium, fine length. Will certainly improve over time. 91-92+

Apple and oak, lanolin and vanilla on the nose. Somehow you can smell how rich and creamy this will be. Not quite as clean as good Perrieres, and not heavy like Batard, or precise and mineral rich like Chevalier, but in a happy middle ground, a land of value! Stoney finish lends class to the fairly sweet and ripe oak tinged bosc pear and mandarin orange flavors. A hint of reduction, a slight green note that comes and goes costs a couple of points. Impressive, nonetheless, but drink up before 2024. Waning acidity and that bit of green oak worries for a long future.

Pretty classic white burg. Getting some nut and grain notes. Missing a little bit of energy, but overall solid. Seems like it has the potential to improve a bit with age.

Académie des Cinquante Burgundy Tasting (Online): Fresh and minerally style, energetic, precise and pure, attractive matchstick nose, intense and refined, ripe citrus, subtle but savoury oak, has line and length, very precise wine making. I’m glad that I have some.

Lighter-bodied and fairly strict with nice complex flavors of lime and minerals and the finish trails off without much intensity. I had expectations for this that were not met.

Showed well, nice flinty minerals, lemon, apple on the nose, clean, crisp, slight reductive hint, medium plus acidity and finish wish I had more!
