Am Gaumen recht cremig, insgesamt gutes Süße-Säure-Spiel, wobei die Süße für meinen Geschmack etwas zu sehr dominiert. Sehr feine, griffige, eher dunkle und pikante Mineralik. Insgesamt sehr gute Haptik, hier auch mit leichter Schwarztee-Assoziation.
Sehr guter Abgang, gute Länge.
Insgesamt eher fein und vielschichtig.

I have a thing for this producer and for their sweet Rieslings. It's so well made, so delicious, so sweet, so fresh, so much of everything that you just want more. And when 3 bottle "disappear" in one night for three people - you know that this stuff, is insanely good!
The nose and palate are exactly the same, no difference. Red apple, pear, lemon, sugar, tropic fruits like pineapple, melon and so on. All these seems to be covered in layer of honey. Its mineral, its soft. The acidity is WAY more soft and low key then the Auslese, which is great.
I could drink this with anything. Chocolate cake, chips, steak, tapas, on its own, with a croissant, chicken pie etc. It's perfect for everything - if you're having a light meal, it suits great and if you're having a heavy/fat dinner, it's refreshing your palate in the most beautiful way.
It's perfect and I'm glad that I bought 12 bottles. If I'm going to experience what an old Fritz Haag Riesling tastes like, I will be lucky, because these wines does not last 15-20 years in this house (nor 5 years)

With leftover holiday dinner. Pale yellow in color. Lemon zest and apple on the nose. In the mouth, sweet white peaches, citrus, a nuance of slate and a touch of salt. Nice acidity sweetness balance. Likely to become even more complex over the next decade, but too delicious a food wine to currently resist.

Method: opened 30+ minutes in advance; served chilled in Grassl Mineralité
Look: pale straw; med- viscosity on the glass
Nose: honey, ripe peach; simple
Palate: guava, green apple, slight salinity, candied ginger; medium+ finish of fresh ginger; med- body; medium sweet; high- acidity
On the third night, there is a bit of petrol, more minerality, and some strong ginger, especially on the finish. The finish starts out strong and great with ginger, but the flavor fades a bit quicker than I'd expect, although the acid leaves a mark on my tongue long after the wine is gone.
Overall thoughts: Not too complex at first, but I think it developed nicely after the first day. Really delicious and has great balance. I love the very strong ginger note I get initially on the finish. Currently, much more expressive than the 2018 BJS Spatlese (and BJ Kabinett).

[05 19] Floral and delicate on the nose - ripe yellow and tropical fruit notes, flowers, crushed stones, herbs. On the palate again quite delicate. Nicely concentrated, very well integrated acidity with a lovely mineral core. Vibrant, weightless, persistent. Lovely. Excellent QPR. 93-94+

Tasted after 2018 Fritz Haag Juffer Kabinett. Delicate and floral on the nose, a bit more weight and concentration in comparison, but not a lot more. Super balanced and vibrant on the palate, great fruit, good acidity, nice mineral spine. Very long. Excellent. 93-94+

Soooooo.... What the f(uck) is not to like!!!
