Nose still shows lots of vanilla oak notes. There is nice grassy and tropical notes that are tending toward fresh ripe pineapple. Palate is fresh, dominated by the oak still, good acidity, decent finish. This wine may evolve eventually but this was my last bottle.

Citrus, peach and floral notes. Good body, but also graceful in mouthfeel. This must be more integrated than some others’ bottles. Excellent, but a tick below the 2016 at the same age. .

Slightly corky. Drinkable but TCA is notable. Underneath, there is lovely core of stone fruit and gobs of minerals. Too bad, but I am powering through and hoping things dissipate with time. The last two bottles were great, and I still have another '16 and '18 in the box.

Quite a solid and unique Washington state white. I did not pick up on all of the oak forward notes of other reviewers. I found mostly citrusy classic Sauvignon blanc with just the right blend of softer more suave semillon. This had many layers and was good versatile, and lasted for a number of hours after open. Clearly well made with evident Washington terroir. Terrific.

This was super oaky on the nose and palate on day one. Double-decanted and tried the next day and the fruit peeked through more, oak better integrated. It will always be an luxuriously (over) oaked white wine (not my favorite category of wine) but maybe time will do it some good (?) Rating: 88+ (?)

Just fine drinking. Much as last bottle. Took some time to open up and develop, but did just that before, during and after dinner. Lovely rich palate, good balance, length. Nose and flavors as last bottle. Last 2018, time to hunt for more.

Medium gold color - extensive clearing at rim Medium plus aromas of tart fresh and bruised apples with green herbs and yellow florals - moderate but luscious oak aromas Medium bodied - ripe citrus/ lemon and apple skin - rather linear mouthfeel but with rounded edges Medium pus acidity and mild phenolic bitterness Again a little out of balance due to medium plus alcohol but remains a nice wine - especially for the price Might be time to drink as this last bottle seems to be heading into some oxidative qualities but it may have just been this bottle

Light gold, medium-bodied, with flinty and lemony nose. Simultaneously lively and smooth on the palate—the blend of Sauvignon blanc and Semillon works so well. This wine is delicious on its own, and works as an accompaniment to so many different foods; in this case, Wellfleet oysters!

Light straw gold, simultaneous honeyed and mineral nose, excellent balance with a crisp and smooth finish. The blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon seems to bring out the best in each. There’s a reason (probably more than one reason!) this is a house favorite.

Excellent. Getting some age, deeper yellow in glass, lemon/citrus has a bit deeper and richer cast, hints of brulee to go with shades of stone fruit, interesting back and forth morphing between bright acidity and softer lightly sweet notes make for very entertaining and fun sipping over a couple of hours. Reliably enjoyable.

This is one of our house whites that we routinely purchase by the case. It is lemony and light gold, awakens your palate, with the Sauvignon Blanc smoothed out a bit by Semillon, and incredibly versatile. Can accompany oysters, other seafood, and can also simply be a rewarding aperitif on its own.

One of our house whites; this complements almost any white-wine friendly fare (in this case, take-out sushi). The Semillon component rounds out the liveliness and occasional grassiness of Sauvignon blanc, and adds a wisp of nectar. As much as I like (most of ) the DeLille red portfolio, this is consistently outstanding.

Very nice with cioppino. This is cleanly made and restrained Compared to most New World Sauvignon Blanc/blend wines. Even so, this does taste rather International. Nice grassy and white stone fruit flavors. Decent acid balance. Medium finish. Perhaps not as memorable as the last bottle but still really enjoyable. Have some ‘16s is this too but haven’t gotten to them yet.

Washington State Wines - Friday Steak Night (Bobby Van's Park Ave): Medium lemon in color. Tropical nose with pineapple, stone fruit, elderflower, ripe gooseberries and lemon grass notes. Good attack on the palate. Dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium extract, medium to full bodied. You can feel the semillon on the palate, there is a plump fruitiness to it. It's well balanced by acidity and a bit of bitterness. The oak is well integrated and can be felt on the medium plus finish. It is drinking very well young but I can see this aging nicely and gaining some weight over the next 8 to 10 years. On a lineup of all reds, this was my WOTN. It reminded me of a ripe year of Domaine de Chevalier with the bitterness of Musar. Impressive effort.

Garagiste mystery wine. Gorgeous nose of honeyed pear, white grapefruit, and tropical flowers. In the mouth, absolutely lovely peach, green apple, toasted almonds, herbs, and white pepper. Exceptional acid balance. Crazy long finish. Very much in balance. It is certainly reminiscent of white Bx and reminds me a bit of Ch. Carbonnieux, but there is something unique here that may come from its own unique terroir. I also feel there is more subtlety here than many white Bx and is not as heavy handed or glycerin-y as some. Overall, this is very much a style I love. I have no experience with this producer and very little experience with Washington white wines in general. This is truly spectacular and drinking perfectly but clearly has the stuffing to last. I can't get over how well this is drinking tonight, esp with roasted barramundi. I have some bottles of the '16 I am now very much looking forward to. Zimmerman got this one right!
Bought 4b for 15/b from a local independent shop just now; this is #1. Light gold; white stone fruits, hint of oak that follow on the palate, body less giving than nose, good mouthfeel. Past vintages of the Blanc have been more full-bodied and Bdx-like so I was surprised; also surprised to see this price (SRP = 38/b). It held well over 3 days but never evolved. This wine ages well so we'll see if it blossoms over time. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation (see earlier posts for my 4-category, non-point rating system): This is notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

I am a big fan of the CE Blanc. This was a good bottle but not quite as good as the '17 in my opinion. I love the body and richness the semillon adds. Flavors of lemon curd, cut grass, and hint of lychee. Paired very well with lobster and classic risotto Milanese. Drinking well now but will improve with another year or two of bottle age. These whites from Delille can age nicely....i just drank my last CE Blanc from the 2015 vintage a year ago and it was fantastic.

As I have often found, the Semillon character of this wine is strong and not my favorite. Some bitterness, waxy fig and burnt grass notes. I've never been a huge favorite of the Chaleur blancs.

Lime zest, unripe white peach, lemon grass on the nose -- it's kind of subtle at first but opened up over time. The palate has a really nice sense of tension with citrus zest, cool stone fruit, grass, the citrus holds on the palate -- medium acid, but the acidity balances out the body nicely. There's a subtle sour leesy note that grounds the fruit, that gives this wine nice depth. Really great hold on the finish with citrus and acidity pulling through with lots of tension.
Very much enjoyed this.

Medium lemon color Medium plus aromas of high toned citrus/ sourgrass and candied lemon peel with moderate oak notes Medium plus palate of candied citrus and oak - linear with rounded edges and full mouthfeel - definitely not classic SB and can feel the Semillon here Medium plus acidity and mild phenolic bitterness with medium finish Only complaint I have with this wine is that the alcohol is a tad high and throws the balance off, dominating the finish Still a wonderful QPR

Tasted after 1 hour of air. Medium gold color. Some white peach on the nose. The wine just appears thick when you swirl it in the glass. This is not a light flabby white. Year in year out these are some of the best white wines in Washington State. Even better because they make tons of this you can find them for < $20 a bottle. A great QPR. Zesty acidity. Plenty of weight on the palate. Some peach. Good persistence. Excellent balance. Very nice effort.

Inviting aromas of pear and honey dew melon and cantaloupe with some earthiness. Palate has a very smooth profile with the wine gliding through delightful flavor. It’s light to medium bodied with healthy acidic tone. High rly recommend this wine.

Slightly golden hue, but very light at the same time. None of the green colors you might see in a 100% sauvignon blanc. Waxy, honeycomb aromas with ripe tropical fruit hidden in the background. The wine is fairly light/medium body, has a decent acidic backbone, while having enough 'oomph' to give it character yet staying away from being cloying or syrup-like.

Right out of the frig, dill/celery, quince/pear, grapefruit, and a little grass. Maybe a little cat pee, too, but not in an off putting way...can't believe that I just said that. This vintage is much better than the 2014 vintage of this wine, which I let rest for 4 years, or so, before trying. Unlike Bordeaux Blanc, Delille whites don't seem to get better with bottle age. Now, after warming on the counter for about 30 minutes, the unpleasant aspects of that 2014 vintage started to appear in this 2018. So, I'm dropping my score.
BTW, this was purchased as a Garagiste Mystery, and promoted as the world's best SB, or something like that. I definitely wouldn't have bought it if I'd known the producer.

At least at this point, it's a food wine. When I say that, I can't help but mean that it isn't particularly enjoyable to drink on its own, which to me means I didn't really like it. I have an aversion to Sauvignon Blanc so obviously that is playing a part here, and I recognize this has nice rounding elements (Semillon, oak, lees) which could make this appealing. Didn't do it for me, but I'm also not the target audience. I can safely say this isn't worth $45 nor a true 92/93 pointer; even at the Garagiste price under $20, I'll look to pour our second bottle of this for others on a summer/porch day.

Another opportunity to drink a nice refreshing white and this did not disappoint. Well structured and refreshing. Great with smoked salmon tonight. Sad I have only one remaining.
Simply put, one of the best domestic white wines I have tasted in a long, long time. On the nose it was reminiscent of a high level white Bordeaux, and on the palate a similar impression, finishing with a lemon/citrus focus and a beam of acidity. The total package here; opened to balance sea scallops sauteed in brown butter, and the match was perfect. The wine cut the butter like a knife and pulled forth the sweetness of the scallops, while leaving you reaching for another sip.
Tasted on day 3. Light golden color. Zesty acidity. Some grapefruit notes. Good persistence on the palate. Still holding together nicely even after the 3 day.

tldr: enjoyable wine, well-crafted and balanced, rich with some depth, but would like more layers and complexity to really excel. maybe will develop more with time as it’s still young. Color: pale gold Nose: tart to begin, but mellowed quickly and shown nice honeydew notes, slightly grassy/vegetal; nose is there, but not overly fragrant. Body: med+ Acid: med- Alcohol: 13.8%, makes itself known Palate: drier zesty fruit - bitter melon, more herbal and grassy on the mid palate, some salinity/slate, not picking up any pronounced oak; nice balance; decently plump on the palate; finish is decent.
Margot's. Great nose with a delightful hint of lillikoi (passion fruit) in addition to the usual suspects and superb acidity. A great vintage for an iconic Washington white.

Delille tasting at K&L: A bit lee-sy. A touch less acidic than the 2016. More tropical fruit, papaya, japelpneo (from the sauvignon I guess). Really thick, creamy texture, but almost no perception of oak or malo. Really nice white Bordeaux blend.
This one has a sexy nose, giving off aromas of buttered toast, very ripe pineapple, and mushed banana by the handful. Underneath this hedonistic nose - not something said about many white wines - lies Meyer lemon, kiwi, and star fruit. The vivacious body is medium plus in weight with kicking and seamless acid and a line of tannin made of equal parts oak and acid. The structure is seriously statured but far from heavy. The flavors include slate minerality, Key lime pie, gram cracker crust, quince, honey dew, pineapple, blood orange, sea mist, and sea shells. Among the best white wines I’ve had, and the most impressive of the ten vintages of this wine that I’ve experienced because of how elegant and light-touch the oak is and how integrated this early into its life.
Bouquet of grapefruit zest, stone fruit, and caju fruit, the latter adding a certain funkiness (caju fruit, while serious refreshing, is an acquired taste). Also noticed an essential oils element and wafting hints of kerosene. More full-bodied than other recent vintages, and every bit as appealing. It needs a few years to reveal its finest qualities.

Less primary than when I had this a number of years ago, the acid and minerality are more pronounced as the baby fat has been shed. This comes into balance real nicely with two hours of air. Again a little out of balance due to medium plus alcohol but remains a nice wine - especially for the price

As always such a lovely wine. Tart lime/lemon, with some hints of bitter almond, some tropical fruits, and yes as someone else noted, lemon grass. Nice salinity and some minerality. As always punching well above its weight.

Medium lemon color
Medium plus aromas of high toned citrus/ sourgrass and candied lemon peel with moderate oak notes
Medium plus palate of candied citrus and oak - linear with rounded edges and full mouthfeel - definitely not classic SB and can feel the Semillon here
Medium plus acidity and mild phenolic bitterness with medium finish
Only complaint I have with this wine is that the alcohol is a tad high and throws the balance off, dominating the finish
Still a wonderful QPR

It’s a little weird at first but after a few sips it seems fine. It’s got a good amount of fruit and little to no acidity. It’s fine but I don’t think I’d buy it again. Maybe I’m just not a fan of this style.

We do not drink white wine often, and my stocks are very limited (less than 1%) but with the fish pie I made tonight we wanted something different. This is a very interesting and enjoyable white with a surprise secondary taste. Great white.

tldr: enjoyable wine, well-crafted and balanced, rich with some depth, but would like more layers and complexity to really excel. maybe will develop more with time as it’s still young.
Color: pale gold
Nose: tart to begin, but mellowed quickly and shown nice honeydew notes, slightly grassy/vegetal; nose is there, but not overly fragrant.
Body: med+
Acid: med-
Alcohol: 13.8%, makes itself known
Palate: drier zesty fruit - bitter melon, more herbal and grassy on the mid palate, some salinity/slate, not picking up any pronounced oak; nice balance; decently plump on the palate; finish is decent.
