Tasted blind: Clearly French Chardonnay; classy apple and pear nose; somewhat austere; a tad hollow for gran cru. I can usually identify Chablis with prolific accuracy. Totally shocked to see what it was; I’d guessed it to be a Chassagne1er.

This btl didn't quite rock me as much as my last in Oct 2022. That said, any night with Fevre in my glass & Nita's lumpy crabcakes on the plate is a great night for Craig. Life is good! 13% alc

In the glass, clear with a beautiful lemon-yellow color. The nose offers a nice complexity of citrus, green apple, minerals, and subtle notes of wood from the 14-month aging in average 6-year-old French oak barrels. On the palate, a medium body, elegant acidity, and a very refined flavor intensity. Beautifully balanced with a nice length and flavors of honey and caramel.

From coravin in Grand Marche du Vin in Tokyo. Good balance between fruit and minerality, which is the benefits of Chablis in warm vintage. Lemon curd, seashell, and citrus on the nose and palate. Good mid-palate attack. Love Chablis in ripe vintage. 92+

Just great. Purity of fruit, depth, some hint of a wam vintage on the mid palette, but theres no obvious oak and enough sting in the acid tail to keep this energetic, pure, saline, fresh and wonderful. Classic lemon and oyster rewards come to the front. Will continue to improve for years.

Finally! I had a bottle last year or so and it was too sweet and undeveloped. Now its entering prime time, needs an hour decant! Then becomes quite thrilling and attention grabbing. Brisk and powerful. Delicous lemon and seashell. Will be better in 2-3 years. I have a few left so will try one every year.

I've been a lucky frequent guest of Dave & Desi D's & recently for a feast at Big Al & Janelle's. So, we had both couples over tonight for some trout & Linguini Di Frutti Nita, I & Joe cooked up & paired w/ a couple champagnes, a couple Chablis & a couple red Burgs.
What a Fevre! What a Chablis! This balances amazing intensity & fruit concentration w/ a still emerging elegance. It will definitely benefit from more time! Powdery mineral, salinity & excellent range of citrus & mineral seashore notes! Terrific fragrance. Fèvre has Chablis dialed in. Only drawback, prices are taking big hikes in the last 12 months making this increasingly less of the bargain it once was. Dang it! I'm fearful this will be priced out for me soon. 13% alc.

Chardonnay Tasting: Wonderful clarity, this is a wine of elegance rather than sheer power. Classic Grand Cru Chablis and clearly a big step up for the Lavantureux Bougros of the previous flight. It does need some time though. Let this develop for another 5 years.

A beautiful Chablis. On the nose there is flint, crushed oyster shell, and Meyer lemon rind. The attack confirms the Meyer lemon with a beautiful text for Chablis akin to licking a smooth stone. There is power and grip here with acidity to structure the wine for aging. This would pair beautifully with shellfish and or any dish brimming with butter as the acid will cut through the fat and “salt” the dish.
The finish is long lasting and evolves into oyster shell while slowly petering away.

Loved this tonight w/ trout at our VRBO house in Santa Fe. This balances amazing intensity & fruit concentration with an early sense of elegance. Powdery mineral, salinity, and excellent range of citrus notes and a terrific fragrance. Fèvre has Chablis dialed in and rarely any pre-mox. 13% alc. Loved it! 94+

Tasted at La Paulee Los Angeles. Doesn't seem to have the minerality of earlier vintages, but maybe it was a bottle shock thing. Will wait at least 5 years to open these

the nose is expressive wihtout much coaxing: pear, apricot, with surprising hints of rock, white pepper and smoke. Swirling the glass reveals floral notes- jasmin, gardenia. The palate is fresh, medium bodied, with a medium finish. Green apple, green pear and notes of hibiscus , rosemary and Meyer lemon. Surprising mix of aromas and flavors. Ready to drink now and very enjoyable over the next few years.

Way to eayrly to drink. So much missing which this wine could give in 10 years time. That been said it’s a good wine with good concentrated nose and palate holding classic Chablis aromas and notes of citrus, green apple, small hints of tropical fruit and much minerality. Good balance and lenght.

Fevre Chablis Blind Tasting (Oceanaire, Mpls, MN): Light gold plus color. Drank a glass blind over an hour. Flighted blind with '18 AOC, '02 Les Clos, & '17 MDT. This has more depth off the bat, crushed stones, lemon, Meyer lemon on the nose, this opens and builds over 20 minuntes or more. The palate is deep and energetic, layeres of lemon, flint, lacquer, Meyer lemon, with a healthy dose of salinity. Long and delicious ,clearly young, but this just kept opening up and becoming more expressive as we went. Ranked #1 in flight and thought this was a young GC. 93+(+)pts.

Aroma: lime zest, minerals and saline notes. Palate: mineral and saline with just a hint of citrus fruit. Moderate acidity but not as rich and opulent as some of the other Grands Crus. Moderate complexity. Needs some cellaring.

Bouchard 2018 Tasting (Waterford Wine Co. - Milwaukee WI): Stand up tasting. Apple, pear and lemon curd with impressive density, a slightly fat middle, but a bright, nearly chiseled finish. Excellent. Cellar until at least 2024, longer would be better without fear of early aging.

Tasted after 2018 1er Cru Vaillons. Lots of depth on the nose - some ripe fruit notes, floral notes, rather dark minerality, salinity. On the palate great structure, impressive acidity, citrus fruit, very mineral and bright. Powerful, lingering finish. Excellent. 93-94+
