From 75cl, synthetic cork, decanted 30 minutes, best at 1 hour after opening, deteriorated thereafter. Friendly, low-acid, soft, juicy, but sorely lacking MàV iron or vibrancy, let alone layering or complexity. Fine quaffing wine at an appropriate price, ready to drink now-2026. 88-89P

Medium ruby with some blue. Black cherry, autumn leaves, forest floor, wild strawberry, oak, mushroom, balsamic, black olive. Iron on palate. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Very pleasant.

PnP. Drinking quite well, with deep, ripe fruit notes reflective of the warm 2018 vintage. I wish it had a bit more lift and structure to balance out the ripe fruit. But overall a very pleasant and easy going cru Beaujolais.

I’ve had the Pierre-Marie Chermette Fleurie before, and was not impressed. This wine seems proportionately (it’s a different cru) much better. More intense nose, more intense flavors, and more complexity. Lovely classic Beaujolais flavors: ripe dark fruit, a bit of earth, dark cherry, and some floral notes. Almost no tannins, somewhat surprising for a Moulin a Vent. Quite delicious and enjoyable.
Drinking very well right now. While I can see this aging for another few years, 2055 is way over the top.

Courtesy of D&L, this was a treat. Black licorice, raspberry, cinnamon, earth and cherry notes. Abundant ripe dark fruit on the palate with a seamless texture. Offers quite a bit of pleasure now though I can see this aging nicely.

Very young, but good already. Simple in its youth, it is still a good call to drink as it is very food friendly and hits all the right notes taste wise. For now its quaffing, give it 5-8+ years and it will gain complexity and be quite nice.

Pretty berry fruit and floral flavors. It is hard for me to get into Beaujolais; it tastes too simplistic and doesn’t have much structure. But this wine merits a 90 for its good concentration and agreeableness.

Dark purple. On the nose are earthy soil, with dark fruits like black cherries coming out about an hour after opening. On the back are more earthy mushroom and some cherry tabacco.
Medium plus body with fine but present tannins to support the medium plus acidity.
It’s a nice example of cru level Beaujolais. Makes me want to buy more.
I’m surprised by the other people’s notes saying this wine is thin. I suppose if you compare it to a rich Syrah from the Rhone valley it could make sense, but in terms of Gamay, it’s got plenty of structure.

Hmm, just ok. Noticeably simple and dilute. Also more ripe blue-fruit than I’m used to coming across in Moulin-a-vent. Some pretty florals but just ok acid, and a flat finish. Not sure if this is a victim of bad storage, but I wasn’t super impressed with the 2018 Chermette St Amour either. 85ish if scoring.

Notes of blackberry and blueberry, with some vanilla and earth. Well balanced, and not as fruit forward as some gamay based wines I have had. Had a nice acid balance and good structure. Paired well with roast chicken and wild rice.

Decanted for 30 minutes. Robe shows a deep, dark purple suggesting a full body. Nose yields a bouquet of dark fruits and some spice. On the palate, it's full-bodied, with a deep core of dark fruit, some minerals and spice. Very satiny - tannins are all but in the background. Will age beautifully.

Nice wine with more structure than anticipated - to my palate this needs time- will probably not touch these for a couple of years.
